Katie Price opens up about her romance with Gareth Gates in her new Sky documentary – and now a video has emerged of Peter Andre mocking him.

Katie had a fling with Gareth during the height of his Pop Idol fame in 2002, despite him being only 17 years old.

Then 23 and known to fans as Jordan, she even infamously took his virginity.

The video of Peter is from his 2004 stint with Katie in the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! jungle. The pair were both campmates and quickly fell for each other romantically while living under the stars.

Fans will know Katie and Peter later got married in an extremely lavish wedding and had two children, Junior and Princess.

But as he was trying to woo Katie in Australia, Peter brought up her fling with Gareth that had occurred two years earlier.

In the clip, he styles his hair into Gareth’s trademark spikes and does an impersonation of him singing Unchained Melody. Gareth released a cover of the Righteous Brothers track shortly after Pop Idol finished.

Peter looks at Katie and asks: ‘Alright, who am I?” She replies: “You’re nothing like Gatesy.”

Fellow campmate Kerry Katona sniggers as Peter begins belting out Unchained Melody. He enthusiastically stamps his foot and puts huge emphasis on the lyrics.

Katie puts her hand over her mouth to stifle a laugh, as Kerry says: “I think he’s a great singer, Gareth.”

Peter insists: “I didn’t say he was bad.”

Katie flirts by pointing out to Peter that a piece of hair has flopped down from his spikes. She adds: “He’s 10 years younger than you as well, Peter.”

In the footage, which was shared to I’m A Celebrity’s official YouTube account, Peter continues to sing Unchained  Melody. Katie – know back then as Jordan – tells him: “He hits that note a lot better.”

As Katie laughs, Peter replies: “I’m sure he hits that note just fine. Do you want to tell us about the note he actually hit?”

Walking closer to her, Peter goads: “Come on, Jordy, tell us a story.” She coyly replies: “The story’s not going to be revealed, thank you.”

Thinking for a moment, Peter then asks: ‘Did it make you go…’I NEEEEEED your love.”

Flirting back, Katie smiles: “He got it higher than that, actually.”

Katie then references her very public fling with Gareth by telling Peter: “You have done your research then. Proud of you.”

She then scolds him, saying: ‘That’s not nice taking the mic out of Gareth.” Peter, who had been out of the public eye for several years at that point, insists: “I don’t know Gareth, he’s probably a really nice guy.”

Katie tells him: “He is a nice guy… ’till he [bleep] on me.”

Gareth Gates in Katie Price: Nothing To Hide documentary

Katie’s fling with Gareth is brought up in her new Sky documentary, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, which dropped today on Sky and Now.

They both discuss the fallout from when she slept with him while pregnant with her eldest child Harvey, now 24. Harvey’s father is ex footballer Dwight Yorke.

Gareth, now 41, found himself front page news when Katie sold a sordid kiss and tell on him as ‘payback’ for publicly denying their romance.

“She betrayed me by selling the story. I was quite shocked and hurt, that impacted me hugely,” Gareth says. “Firstly because of the sense of betrayal but it was more than that, I’d denied this to some of the closest people around me and I couldn’t really forgive myself for that.”

Katie, who was interviewed separately from Gareth, admits she regrets it now.

She says in the documentary: “That’s a moment I wish I never did. Yeah I shouldn’t have gone into detail about it but I did. If I could turn back time I wish I never took his virginity for his sake.”
