MAFS Australia 2026: David Momoh's rapper name revealed after he's accused of 'using the show for fame'
David makes his entrance while his own track is playingMAFS Australia 2026 kicks off with a new series tonight and groom David Momoh has revealed he is a rap artist. But what is his rapper name?
David, 31, is one of two guys who gets married to a stranger in the launch show as things finally get going on E4.
He says “I do” with bride Alissa Fay, 33, before sealing their marriage with a very awkward kiss.
David speaks about his rap career before he meets his new wife at the alter and clips from his music videos are shown.

Here’s everything you need to know about David the rapper, including his rap name and how successful his music career actually is.
MAFS Australia: David Momoh the rapper
David is from Brisbane in Queensland, Australia, and he describes his main job as an e-commerce product manager. In his intro in tonight’s MAFS, he adds: “But I’ve been a rap artist for the last 10 years.”
A clip is then shown of David rapping in a music video. He is wearing Nike trainers and all-black clothing in the footage, including a black face covering over his mouth and nose.
“Don’t mind me I’m doing my own thing, stay in my lane then the damn thing changed,” he raps.
David tells the MAFS Australia cameras: “Rap music is something I’m always passionate about. I wake up every day and the first song I put on is 50 Cent Hustler’s Ambition.”
Correcting himself, he adds: “Actually, that’s an album. I love 50 Cent, though. Shout out, 50. That made me sound like I’m not a rapper!”
David is keen to point out that he’s not a ‘stereotypical’ rap artist. He explains how he is a Christian and a “church boy”, not a “bad boy”.
“Obviously, doing rap music, a lot of women would go off face value and think that I’m out to play,” David says. “But I have genuine values.”
What is David’s rapper name?
David’s rap name is Kavelli. He has both a Spotify and iTunes profile, where fans can stream his music. His music videos are also available to watch on Kavelli’s official YouTube account.
In the first episode of Married At First Sight Australia, David even makes his entrance as his own track – recorded in the name of Kavelli – plays, which is called Stylebender.
However, since appearing on MAFS, he has come under fire.

The 2026 series launched in Australia on February 2, meaning fans Down Under are already more than a month ahead of us. And when it was revealed David is a rapper, he was accused of ‘using’ the show to boost his career.
David has, however, hit back at these claims. In fact, he’s even said he has put rap music behind him while he focusses on his product manager job.
The groom told Daily Mail Australia: “People think I’m trying to push my rap career, but I actually left that behind years ago.
“If you’re not Drake or Central C, the reality is it’s tough. I’ve released a couple of house tracks, but I’m not chasing fame.”
MAFS Australia 2026: David and Alissa
Tonight, fans will see David meet his new wife Alissa at the alter. Prepare for some seriously toe-curling moments, though.
First, Alissa bluffs her new husband into thinking she isn’t going to marry him. She then insists he gets down on one knee before they say “I do”. Cue an extremely uncomfortable stand-off.
Finally, when they do tie the knot, the pair share a kiss that’s enough to give anyone the ick. David has also addressed that with the Daily Mail, describing the smooch as “diabolical”.
He’s also accused the MAFS Australia cameraman of ‘doing him the dirty’. Hmm, is that so…
