MAFS Australia 2026 star Gia Fleur has revealed her daughter has actually been bullied since she first appeared on the show.

It’s that time of the year again when a group of singles make a huge commitment by marrying someone they have never met.

Tonight’s episode (March 10) sees disability support worker Gia, say ‘I do’ to businessman Scott McCalister. But one thing she tried to keep hidden from him, was the fact she has a daughter.

However, since the show aired in Australia, it appears Gia’s daughter has actually faced some bullying due to her mum’s actions.

MAFS Australia Gia daughter revealed

During tonight’s episode of MAFS Australia, Gia – who has had a few transformations – reveals she has an eight-year-old daughter. But while all of her family know she’s a mum, she has carefully told them to not say anything to her groom or his family.

Speaking about her daughter on the show, Gia explained: “I am a mum. I have a little daughter. She is the most amazing, kind girl.”

The 35 year old got emotional as she admitted: “She is the love of my life. I put everything into being a mum. She is my reason for living. And I am so proud she is who she is.

“I think it’s so important that she is as confident as me. And as her mother, I want to show her it’s okay to be yourself and never let somebody dull your shine.”

However, during the wedding reception, Gia’s uncle accidentally let slip to Scott’s family, that Gia had a kid. And when the news got back to the bride, she was fuming.

Knowing she had to speed up telling Scott, she pulled him aside and explained that she didn’t want him hearing it from anyone else. But while she feared a negative reaction, Scott was actually absolutely fine with the news, and even was excited at the prospect of being a step-dad.

Gia’s daughter has been bullied since MAFS 2026 aired

However, it seems it hasn’t all been plain sailing for Gia and her daughter since MAFS 2026 started airing in Australia. While we’re just two eps in in the UK, it’s been on for a month over there!

But speaking on SEN Radio’s The Run Home with Joel and Fletch, Gia admitted the whole show has had a negative impact on her daughter, whose name is unknown.

She explained: “It’s just a bit hard for her. She is coming home crying saying, ‘Somebody picked on me and said that your mum’s this and that’. I’m just like ‘Oh my God’. She’s never seen this side of me.

“I’m not like this in day-to-day life. I don’t walk down the street and call somebody a name. That’s just not who I am.”

Gia went on to explain that the whole situation has been very “confronting”.  And she has had to “console” her daughter while “dealing with it” herself.

But when she was directly asked if she regrets going on the show, Gia admitted: “100 million per cent”. And if she could go back in time she “probably wouldn’t have gone on MAFS”.
