‘I’m not perfect!’ MAFS Australia’s Mel issues apology after intense backlash for horrible stalking comments
Mel has faced a lot of backlash for her commentsMAFS Australia star Mel made some very strong comments about stalking her ex-boyfriend in tonight’s episode. And fans have not been happy.
Ever since she and Luke got married, it was clear Mel was never going to give him a proper chance. He was late to the ceremony because he forgot the rings and then he was chewing gum during their vows. The two things don’t make him look the best, but he was genuinely apologetic afterwards.
However, Mel wanted a “fairytale” and Luke wasn’t that. So, she has been quite harsh with him ever since. And he has even spoken about how the whole situation gave him “PTSD” after they left the experiment. But now, Mel has been forced to apologise following intense backlash regarding serious stalking comments she made.

Mel admits to ‘stalking’ her ex
In tonight’s episode (March 18) Mel and Luke were given a series of questions they had to answer in order to know each other better.
She was asked what the most “shocking thing” she has ever done after a break up. That’s when Mel admitted she “stalked” her ex.
Mel said: “I got in the car with my friends and drove past his house multiple times during the night to make sure he was home. Multiple times in one night. We would do laps. It was the best time of my life.
“If his car was there then it meant he was at home and my night was made. He was obviously too sad to leave his house.”
But after they stalked Mel’s ex, the same girls would go to another one of their exes houses to do the exact same thing.

MAFS Australia star issues an apology for comments
However, immediately after the comments, many viewers were appalled at her comments as stalking is actually very serious.
Having seen the backlash, Mel has finally addressed the comments, apologising for her language. And she also acknowledged her horrible behaviour towards Luke.
In an Instagram statement, Mel shared: “Over the past few weeks I have watched parts of myself on TV that have been difficult to see.
“There were moments where I didn’t communicate well and came across insensitive. For that, I am truly sorry to anyone who felt hurt or offended.
“This experience has been a huge learning curve for me. I’m not perfect, seeing things play back has made me reflect on how I handle certain moments.”
Mel went on to directly apologise for her stalking comments.
She expressed: “I want to apologise for the comment I made about stalking. I do not think stalking is funny, and I absolutely do not condone that behaviour.
“But I was referring to something from wen I was 17 and joking with friends, and it was careless of me to say it the way I did. I regret it.”
Mel went on to apologise “for not developing romantic feelings” for Luke, but accepted he was a “good person”.
