MAFS Australia couple Sam and Chris have officially called it quits on their short-lived romance – but what else was in Sam’s notebook?

It’s been a turbulent week for the couple after Chris – who has had a heartbreaking baby update – shockingly voted to leave at the commitment ceremony. However, as Sam opted to stay, the pair were forced to take part in the Home Stay week.

Sam headed on a very awkward journey to Chris’ farm, where their relationship truly came to an end. But not before Sam could ask Chris some questions from his notebook.

Sam’s notebook on MAFS Australia

In tonight’s episode of MAFS (April 29), Chris and Sam headed to the farm to try to have some fun. But very quickly, it was obvious that was going to be harder than expected.

Chris told Sam he had done some reflecting on what the experts had said, much to Sam’s delight. But the next morning, Chris had left Sam alone on the farm so he could go to the gym.

Sam then decided to confront Chris with a list of questions he had written down in his notebook. He had written down a bunch of questions, wanting to know if Chris had taken full accountability for his actions.

But for Chris, he just felt like Sam had been interviewing him about the experience, and didn’t really want to participate. And so when Sam asked if they should just call it quits, Chris didn’t even try to put up a fight.

What else did Sam write about?

However, since the show aired in Aus, Sam has spoken out about his notebook, as some fans thought it was a bizarre thing to do. And it seems Chris wasn’t the only person he wrote about.

In a recent episode of the MAFS Funny Podcast, Sam opened up about the experience, and revealed the notebook was actually his way of digesting and remembering everything that happened on the show.

He explained: “I don’t regret anything I did on the show. I do feel that part has been taken out of context to an extent.

“I don’t think people realise how mean he actually was to me. And therefore, why I had written these questions down. I needed Chris to completely change who he is, which is a crazy thing to ask someone.

“I knew the answer would be no, which is completely reasonable. But, I thought if he did want to try and make it work and he did want to change completely, then we could work on that. But I knew the person he was and that was not who I wanted to be with. The questions were sort of my way out of there.”

Sam also revealed he wanted to ask the questions as “soon as we arrived at the farm” but had to wait until Chris was ready.

While Sam admitted he wishes he just never went to the farm, he confirms the notebook “gave a bit of depth as a person”.

He admitted: “I journaled my whole MAFS experience. It wasn’t like I just got this notebook and wrote some questions in it. I was constantly writing stuff in that. There was about five more questions – they only showed the worst ones.”

Sam may share his other notebook revelations

Taking to his TikTok account, Sam admitted he had a lot to say about many other situations that unfolded on MAFS Australia. And that they’re all in his notebook.

He explained: “I wrote down a bunch of questions about what I didn’t like about Chris, and why I didn’t want to be with him. Then, I didn’t want to wait until I sat with the experts again because then they would ask why I didn’t bring them up.

“I was very aware that Chris wasn’t going to agree with these. It was very obvious he was done, and I was done too. So, it was my way of getting everything off my chest, so when I sat with the experts I had done everything I could do.

“I actually journaled my entire MAFS experience, so if you guys are interested maybe I could do some readings about my time on the show.”

Instantly, the comment section was filled with people eager to hear more about Sam’s perspective. But one person who was nervous for him to dive deep was fellow MAFS participant Bec.

She commented on the TikTok: “Dear God. Please omit the things you wrote about me at the beginning. But I do vote story time!” to which Sam joked: “The people want to hear.”
