Strictly Come Dancing pro 'surprised' judges missed important detail during La Voix's dance-off against Harry
Vincent says Harry should have stayedStrictly Come Dancing star Vincent Simone has hit out at the judges after feeling they were “unfair” with their comments on last weekend’s show.
The ballroom star – who appeared on the BBC favourite from 2006 to 2012 – didn’t hold back in sharing his thoughts.
Vincent, who narrowly missed out on the Glitterball Trophy when he finished runner-up with pop star Rachel Stevens back in 2008, knows exactly what it takes to impress the panel. And he made it clear he thinks some of their recent critiques have missed the mark.

Strictly star calls out judges for being ‘unfair’
Since leaving the show, Vincent has continued to watch Strictly and has kept up with the 2025 series.
Speaking to TVGuide’s sister site, Entertainment Daily, Vincent opened up about last weekend’s dance-off.
To recap, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey landed in the bottom two alongside former Drag Race contestant La Voix. After performing again, the judges saved La Voix, a decision which Vincent didn’t agree with.
“Honestly, Harry did not deserve to go this week,” he declared.
Vincent also noted that the judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke – didn’t pick up on La Voix’s footwork.
“I watched the dance-off three times, and straight away I could tell La Voix started completely on the wrong foot. As a professional, I noticed her timing was off from the very first steps, yet none of the judges mentioned it. I found that surprising and a bit unfair,” Vincent continued.
“Both couples tried to get through it, but based on technique and performance, Harry should have stayed.”

Viewers think La Voix is getting ‘special treatment’
On Saturday night (November 8), La Voix and Aljaz took to the Strictly dancefloor with a Foxtrot to Make Your Own Kind of Music. But the routine didn’t quite win over the judges or the audience. The pair scored just 29 points, landing them in the dreaded dance-off.
After performing again, the judges made the surprise decision to save La Voix, sending Harry home instead – and fans were not happy. Many viewers took to social media to argue that Harry had been stronger overall and deserved to stay.
Some even claimed La Voix’s survival was no coincidence. With some suggestions the BBC might be keeping her around as a hint that she could step into a presenting role next year following Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s shock departures.
Others are convinced the bosses are giving La Voix the ‘best’ songs and fixing for her to stay in the comp.
“I hate how orchestrated the Strictly dances are. They have clearly given Balvinder [Sopal] something more forgettable to ensure she is in the bottom two. But La Voix gets a Couple’s Choice to ensure she gets to Blackpool. It’s probably in a contract that she must get to Blackpool,” one complained.
Others are happy she’s still in the series.
Another added: “Perfect song for La Voix, especially coming back from a dance off!”
