Strictly viewers left furious as elimination result leaks online: 'Complete joke'
The fourth celeb to be eliminated will be revealed tonightStrictly viewers have been left furious after finding out who gets eliminated tonight (Sunday, October 26) thanks to an online leak.
Fans of the show took to social media to slam the result, branding it a “disgrace”.
What happened on Strictly last night?
Last night (Saturday, October 25) saw the stars take on Icons Week.
Dressed as some of the most iconic faces in music, the celebs danced to some of the most famous songs ever. These included Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash, Strong Enough by Cher, and Purple Rain by Prince.
The show ended with the gap between top and bottom being quite tight – unlike last week, which saw La Voix land rock bottom with 14 points, whilst Alex Kingston scored a whopping 36 points.
This week, Lewis Cope and Katya Jones topped the leaderboard with 34 points with their quickstep to Ring of Fire.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the table were George Clarke and Alexis Warr. Their jive to Harry Styles’ As It Was saw them score 27 points.
However, it’s not where celebs finish on the leaderboard that matters; it’s the public vote, as viewers found out last week when La Voix avoided the dance off despite her poor score.
Strictly result leaks online
A few hours after last night’s show ended, the result for this week’s elimination leaked online.
Despite the leak, we will not reveal who leaves during tonight’s pre-recorded results show.
Viewers were left furious with the result and took to Twitter to express their complaints.
“All I’ll say about this – the result is a complete joke – wrong two people in the dance off and wrong person went out,” one fan tweeted.
“Ffs that’s a shocker, how the hell either of them was in the bottom two is beyond me,” another said.
“Neither of these couples should have been in the dance off,” a third wrote.
“I knew whatever the result was it was going to hurt, but ITS SO MUCH WORSE THAN I FEARED,” another added.
“WHAT A DISGRACE!!!! I’m gutted,” a fifth fumed.
Last week’s result
Last week saw Chris Robshaw become the third celebrity to be eliminated from the competition.
The former rugby star was in the dance-off with Balvinder Sopal. Despite Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas voting to save him, Chris was sent home after Motsi Mabuse and head judge Craig Revel Horwood opted to save Balvinder instead.
Viewers were gutted to see him go. “Craig made the wrong decision tonight. So disappointed, Chris should have stayed,” one viewer tweeted.
“Chris was robbed – Shirley and Anton were right to try and save him!” another added.
Last week also saw Stefan Dennis withdraw from the competition through injury. “I can’t tell you how devastated I am to have to leave so prematurely especially as there has been, and still is, so much love and support from everyone for both Dianne and myself.
“I owe both the Strictly Family and Dianne a massive debt of gratitude for giving me the opportunity to fulfil my dream of being able to dance with my wife. (When my leg is better) Fun fact for all the avid Neighbours fans… it’s the same leg!” he said at the time.
