George is adored by fans

Strictly Come Dancing star George Clarke has received a warning from a former professional. And has been encouraged to believe in himself some more.

Former Strictly star Vincent Simone has spoken to Entertainment Daily about this year’s series on behalf of Paddy Power. And it seems for him, George still has quite a bit of work to do.

For the last few weeks, fans have been concerned about George, with some believing the show is actually setting him up to fail. But Vincent thinks George just needs to believe in himself some more.

Fans have been concerned about George Clarke

A few weeks ago, Strictly fans were left concerned when George’s Harry Styles performance failed to impress the judges and landed him at the bottom of the leaderboard.

And when they saw an Instagram video of George looking visibly upset about the comments he received, many fans felt for him.

Then when song choices for last week’s Halloween episode were revealed, many thought the show may have had an agenda against George. This was because they disliked that George was continuously being given ‘TikTok songs’ to dance to.

However, George may not always have the judging support, but it’s clear he has the public’s backing. Not once – despite being at the bottom of the leaderboard – has George ended up in the dance-off.

Strictly star Vincent Simone offers him a warning

However, former Strictly professional, Vincent Simone spoke to Entertainment Daily about George’s dancing. And it seems he would have placed him in the bottom two last weekend.

Last weekend we said goodbye to Ellie Goldstein after she competed in the dance-off alongside Balvinder Sopal. The judges each saved Balvinder.

But Vincent believes this wasn’t the bottom two that he would have called. Instead he thought it would have been Harry and Karen in the bottom – with a possibility of George.

He told ED!: “I would have put Harry and Karen in the bottom two this week. And possibly George and Alexis as well.

“George frustrates me because watching him this week, it felt like he didn’t believe in himself. His cha-cha had solid technique. But he didn’t smile once. He looked petrified when the dance should be cheeky and alive with your partner.”

However, Vincent does believe that with the support George has, he could make it all the way – especially if he does one specific thing.

Vincent said: “If he frees himself up, he’s dangerous. And still a potential finalist.”
