Who was fired from The Apprentice tonight? Sacked candidate ‘thrown under the bus’ speaks out: 'I'm the scapegoat'
"It didn't feel good... I feel like my time was cut short"
The Apprentice has just fired another candidate – but, in their eyes, their time has been “cut short” early, and someone else should have been sacked instead.
Amid two changes to the show’s format, we’ve had the scavenger hunt, children’s books, and a battle to see what came first: chickens or eggs.
In this week’s episode of The Apprentice, the candidates attempt to tap into the bottled water market. Let’s just say, neither team makes a big splash.
However, someone had to go, and the latest candidate on the other end of Lord Sugar’s firing finger doesn’t believe they deserved it.

Who was fired from The Apprentice tonight?
Roxanne Hamedi was fired in The Apprentice series 20 episode 4.
The Persian-Scottish contestant was part of the North H2o team, which lost to Thrive. Whether it was their “dull” advert or accidentally insulting Big Zuu, it didn’t go well for them.
Roxanne ended up back in the boardroom with the project manager Conor Galvin and teammate Rajan Gill.
Given Roxanne’s role in the branding (which was widely criticised), she found herself directly in the firing line.
“Roxanne, you have to take responsibility for it. You were the sub-team leader,” Sugar told her. Moments later, she was sacked.

Roxanne Hamedi says this Apprentice candidate should have been fired instead
Speaking after leaving the show, Roxanne said: “It didn’t feel good to be fired, just because I didn’t think that I deserved to be. There was a lot going on that day and I feel like other people lacked accountability. So yeah, it wasn’t a nice feeling.”
So, who was to blame? In her eyes, Conor should have been fired. “He was the PM and I feel like he did throw me under the bus because I was just an easy scapegoat,” she said.
Roxanne also pointed out other teammates who could have been fired, like Rajan and Levi Hague.

‘My time was cut short’
“There were people in Conor’s team that were responsible for the advert and the fact that the advert didn’t deliver. Conor then had to pivot and then just used me as a scapegoat in the end,” she said.
“I still stand by it being a professional brand with room to build around it.
“Being sub team lead, I definitely wanted to get out of my comfort zone and take that risk and just showcase that I’m not someone that’s going to coast through this experience.
“So I don’t regret being a sub-team lead, but I just feel like my time was cut short in the process.”
Roxanne admitted that she had a “bad cold”, so she may not have been in the best frame of mind.
“Also, I guess I could have fought more in the boardroom. You know, called Rajan out on his lack of input, or reminded Lord Sugar that I’d taken creative risks and didn’t hide in the background. But I didn’t want it to come down to begging or being the loudest or most apologetic person in the room,” she added.
