The Chase Around the World: Bradley Walsh to host huge new Chase spin-off on ITV
The quiz show has been given a Race Across the World-style glow upThe Chase is going global with a brand new and totally different spin-off called The Chase Around the World, ITV has confirmed.
Bradley Walsh will host the show and it will also star all six of our favourite Chasers.
But the format is nothing like The Chase, the quiz show that we have known and loved for 17 years.

The Chase Around the World will see teams of two working out cryptic clues and difficult puzzles in far-flung destinations.
The answers will lead to the hiding spots of each of the Chasers they are trying to track down.
We wouldn’t blame you for thinking it sounds rather like the BBC’s Race Across the World, because it sort of does!
Here’s everything we know about The Chase Around the World, including its start date, prize and how the show works.
The Chase Around the World: How the spin-off works
Players competing in The Chase Around the World will not be in a pokey TV studio. They will be taken on a “global adventure” as they try their best to beat The Chasers.

ITV has confirmed the series will feature six pairs of contestants who are challenged with tracking down all six Chasers – all hiding around the world.
In order to work out where they are, the contestants will have to solve brain-busting puzzles and put their general knowledge to the test. The correct answers to their questions will lead to well-known landmarks and culturally iconic places, close to where the Chasers are located.
All The Chase’s favourites are taking part in the new show. They are:
- Jenny Ryan: The Vixen
- Mark Labbett: The Beast
- Shaun Wallace: The Dark Destroyer
- Anne Hegerty: The Governess
- Paul Sinha: The Sinnerman
- Darragh Ennis: The Menace
The last pair to locate a hidden Chaser will have to go head-to-head with them. If they successfully beat them in a run of seriously tough questions, they move onto the next mystery location.
If they lose, they leave the competition, pack their bags and head home immediately!
Announcing the new show, ITV says: “Teams will race each other in pairs, unravelling cryptic conundrums and Da Vinci Code-style puzzles, uncovering buried clues to find The Chasers.
“The couple to arrive last at the destination must take on the Chasers in a head-to-head battle of brains to survive in the game. Beat them, and you make it to the next destination, lose, and you’re on your way home.”

How do you win? What is the prize?
In order to win The Chase Around the World, the last contestants standing will have a “battle of knowledge” against all The Chasers.
The prize is yet to be announced, but ITV has described it as “life-changing”.
Bradley Walsh, who is loved by The Chase fans the world over, cannot wait to get cracking. He says: “This bold new take on The Chase combines quizzing with travelling and will test contestant’s knowledge like never before.
“The Chasers are already famous around the world, so fans can look forward to seeing them ply their trade in some superb secret locations.”
When does The Chase Around the World start?
The Chase Around the World will be landing on ITV later this year. It has been described as a “primetime format”, so expect it to bag one of the popular evening spots in ITV1’s schedule.
ITV bosses, Sue Murphy and Kate Teckman, say: “The Chase Around The World is a really exciting new format taking the DNA of Britain’s most iconic quiz into epic real-world locations, in a high-stakes battle of knowledge.
“The show is full of surprises, problem-solving, and fantastic play-along for viewers. Combined with The Chasers’ intellect and host Bradley’s inimitable wit, viewers are in for an absolute treat in this brand-new iteration of a much-loved brand.”
This show sounds epic. We can’t wait!
