Every single sign that points to Barney Walsh being The Masked Singer's Conkers
The clues are all there!
The Masked Singer continued on Saturday night (January 10), with Conkers giving us a rendition of House of Pain’s Jump Around.
He also threw out a few juicy clues, with some viewers taking to social media to declare that they’ve figured out who’s underneath the spiky mask.

Saturday night saw Conkers perform for the second time. On the opening weekend of the show, he sang Myles Smith’s Nice To Meet You. That performance, along with some of the cryptic clues, led those watching at home to comment that singer Olly Murs was behind the mask.
However, after another performance and more clues this weekend, they’ve changed their mind. Now they reckon Conkers could be none other than Barney Walsh – son of TV god Bradley!
Conkers’ VTs are packed full of clues about castles and knights. And Maya Jama pointed out a more specific reference to Sir Lancelot, one of King Arthur’s knights.
Of course, Barney played a teenage King Arthur in the 2017 feature film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
‘I’ve thrown down the gauntlet’
This week, Conkers said: “I’ve thrown down the gauntlet, it would be very embarrassing to back out now. I can’t be a knight who says ‘no, no’ to quests.”
Barney hosts the BBC’s rebooted Gladiators alongside dad Bradley. One of the games on there is called The Gauntlet. As well as that, Barney often throws down the gauntlet to his famous dad on their ITV1 series Breaking Dad. “This conker has played many parts, but I’m not looking for credit,” was another of the clues. “Maybe he’s been a guest star in a lot of things,” said Jonathan Ross. Indeed, Barney has guest starred in Death in Paradise and Law & Order: UK.
On Saturday night, it was sports day on The Masked Singer. One clue stated that anyone injured should make their way to “Mr Fairhead, who will be manning the First Aid tent”.
Barney appears as Cameron in BBC drama Casualty – a show that also featured the character Charlie Fairhead for almost four decades.
Keys have also been mentioned, and Barney plays the piano. Swimming has also been mentioned, and, back in 2011, as a student at Chigwell School, Barney competed in the IAPS National Swimming Finals, participating in relay events.
The panel haven’t yet named Barney as one of their guesses, but Jonathan did name Bradley Walsh this week…

“I thought Conkers sounded like Bradley Walsh tonight and had a brain wave… ‘Gauntlet’ – Gladiators. ‘Up for a challenge’, ‘facing fears’ – Breaking Dad. ‘Keys’ – he plays piano. ‘Mr Fairhead’ – Casualty… I think it’s Barney Walsh!” said one.
“He has the energy, is on Casualty, is how I imagine him singing… Conkers is Barney Walsh!” a second agreed. “Barney Walsh,” said a third. “He is from Casualty and there was a clue about Mr Fairhead.”
“Could Conkers be Barney Walsh? He’s in Casualty and he was in the King Arthur film,” said another.
“Anyone else think Conkers on @MaskedSingerUK is Barney Walsh? The swimming trunks as he’s known for his swimming and Mr Fairhead in the clue…Charlie Fairhead in @BBCCasualty which he’s in now,” another added.
Not everyone is entirely convinced, though.
Some think Conkers could be Will Mellor. Others are still holding onto Olly Murs. And others, like Davina McCall, reckon Conkers is Tom Daley.
