'Didn't expect that!' The Masked Singer viewers shocked as Mole's identity revealed to be Olly Murs
The series is almost overThe Masked Singer returned to our screens on Saturday night (January 31) as Mole’s identity was revealed.
Judges, Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall all returned looking absolutely amazing – as did host, Joel Dommett. Tonight, Moth, Can of Worms, Sloth, Toastie, Conkers and Red Panda all took to the stage again to fight for their place.
But this episode had quite a lot of anticipation, as the “double agent” Mole was set to be unmasked.

Fans of The Masked Singer had revealed on Reddit that there would be a new character called Mole on the show.
Kicking off a thread on the social forum Reddit, one Masked Singer viewer wrote: “Why do we only literally have 1 trailer with mole in!? It’s so secret! We need more info about mole please Masked Singer UK!”
But Mole made his debut last weekend, and fans were told they really don’t have much longer to wait to find out who is actually under the mask.
The Mole was brought in to play a “double agent”. And tonight, fans discovered who it was.
Viewers divided as Mole’s identity revealed
Shockingly, at the very beginning of Saturday’s episode of The Masked Singer, Joel confirmed that the Mole would be immediately revealed.
Joel said that Mole was “on his way” to the stage to reveal who he is. And it’s safe to say, it was a shock for everyone!
Many fans suspected Stephen Mulhern. But in reality, Mole removed his mask, revealing that UK hit singer, Olly Murs was underneath the mask.
After he took the mask off, Joel asked if Olly would join the panel this week, making him this weekend’s celebrity guest judge.
However, while some viewers were pleased, some were disappointed with the reveal.
One said online: “Why reveal him immediately? We weren’t that invested in him because it hasn’t been that long.”
Another joked: “I don’t believe Olly was in that costume at the start. He probably just got in it before joining the panel to make it a big deal.”
Others realised this rules him out of the running to be under another mask!
“This makes my Conkers guess completely wrong!” one said. Another added: “Now I have to rethink my other guesses. I did not expect that. Wish we heard him sing!”
However, many fans were pleased to see Olly. And immediately enjoyed him being on the panel.
One said: “OMG Olly, I love him! Wish he was an actual contestant, but I am so happy he’s on the panel.”
