The Secret Traitor is finally uncloaked as Stephen and Rachel stunned: 'She's playing a very, very good game'

With Hugo gone, there's a new Traitor in town…

The Traitors fans tonight learnt the identity of the show’s Secret Traitor, with Fiona uncloaked up in the Traitors’ turret.

It’s been a long wait since Saturday night’s show, which saw Hugo banished and the Secret Traitor task come to an end. After Traitors Rachel and Stephen successfully completed their secret mission, they were rewarded by host Claudia Winkleman. She told them that the Secret Traitor would meet them in the turret later that night, reveal their identity, and join them as a fully-fledged Traitor.

However, viewers were left on tenterhooks, having to wait from Saturday’s show (January 3), to tonight’s episode (January 7) for the reveal. And what a long old wait it’s been! Rumours have been flying, theories have been shared and now, finally, the Secret Traitor has been uncloaked.

Secret Traitor uncloaked

Fiona joined Stephen and Rachel in the Traitors’ turret, with the pair shocked when she lowered the red hood of her cloak.

In the turret, as Fiona took down her hood, Rachel declared: “Oh my goodness.” “That was wonderful, wasn’t it,” said Fiona. “Hollywood is beckoning.”

Meanwhile, Stephen agreed and said: “I can’t believe Fiona is the Secret Traitor. She is playing a very, very good game.”

Viewers react to Secret Traitor reveal

Traitors fans were quickly on the hashtag, reacting as the first-of-its-kind twist came to an end. And they reckon Fiona is coming for both Rachel and Stephen!

One commented: “This is actually insane because there’s no way Rachel and Fiona are ever going to trust each other.” A second agreed and said they think the ladies will butt heads: “I just know Rachel will betray the Secret Traitor soon, sorry not sorry.” A third commented: “Rachel couldn’t even hide her disappointment for two mins that it is Fiona. I fear these Traitors will turn on each other pretty quickly.”

Others also think that Fiona is set to become just as iconic as Celebrity Traitors winner Alan Carr.

“Fiona just laughing through it becoming a Traitor. She’s the female Alan Carr and I’m so here for it!!!! Can’t stop laughing. She’s going to throw her fellow Traitors under the bus!!!” Another agreed and said: “Fiona is the next Alan Carr. So much natural charisma that she can just lie back, be herself and she’ll have people eating out the palm of her hand no matter what. Love her.”

Wow. She really was more obvious than Linda AND Alan Carr,” another chuckled.

Tonight’s banishment and murder…

Claudia told the assembled players at breakfast that there wasn’t a murder overnight. Instead, there was a shortlist of players up for murder tonight. She revealed that Amanda, Faraaz, Jack, Jade, James, Maz, Reece, Sam and Stephen are all up for murder next following Stephen and Rachel’s secret mission.

She also revealed that the group wouldn’t be heading into their own daily mission straight from breakfast. Instead, they’d head straight into a roundtable. The roundtable was tense, with Ross under intense fire, and quickly banished. And Ellie revealing in the diary room that she and Ross are actually boyfriend and girlfriend!
