'She’s lying!' Why The Traitors fans are convinced Rachel’s FBI training isn’t true

Rachel revealed it to her fellow contestants last night

The Traitors fans seem to be convinced that Rachel is actually lying about being trained by an FBI agent for months before the show.

Last night Rachel found herself going head-to-head with Faithful Harriet, right after she got rid of the threat of Fiona. But while some fans think there were some unaired scenes that led to the showdown, some others think Rachel was pulling out all of the stops to save herself.

This included revealing some secret training she had before she went on the show. But fans just don’t believe her, and they have their ‘proof’.

Rachel reveals FBI training before The Traitors

Last night (January 14) all eyes were on Harriet after she publicly declared that she believed Rachel was a Traitor.

By doing so, the other Faithfuls all turned against Harriet, believing she was pulling a bluff to get rid of someone. But when Harriet revealed to everyone that she was a published crime novelist and a former criminal banister, many were left shocked.

Later, at the roundtable, it was pretty much Rachel vs Harriet, with both trying to convince the others of their innocence.

But that’s when Rachel pulled out her own little secret. She revealed that for the last “few months”, she had been trained by a former FBI agent to get her ready for the show.

She revealed: “For the last few months, I have been trained by a former FBI agent on the beauty of micro-expressions and people’s ability to lie. I have profiled every single one of you.

“I know what to look out for. And if that makes me a bad Faithful, or distrustful, I’m really sorry. But I am trying my hardest to come in here, and to play a good game.”

Naturally, the other players were all shocked by the revelation. But not everyone watching the show was convinced.

Could Rachel be lying?

Taking to X and Reddit after the episode, many fans discussed whether or not Rachel was even telling the truth. And many felt like it was her way to get herself out of a tricky situation.

One wrote: “Rachel’s training? That has to be utter [bleep], right?”

Another agreed: “If I was around that table, I would have laughed at that. How did nobody call her out on it?”

“I think she lied and just said it to save herself,” a third penned.

One wrote on X: “The fact that everyone just believed Rachel on the FBI training comment. It sounds like the most made up thing ever. Are they all scared of or in love with her?”

“Why did nobody press Rachel on the mad FBI thing? Could have proved she was lying so easily,” another added.

However some pointed out that Rachel stated at the very beginning of the show that she had four months of training. Which brings another question to fans.

To have four months of training, Rachel would have had to know she was going on the show for quite some time. Which doesn’t fully make sense, because applications only close three months prior. Of course, she could have started prepping beforehand. But it does seem a bit strange.

However, there were a few fans who believed Rachel, and thought the whole thing fitted with her personality. And they even proposed that she may have just paid an online website to give her the training.

One commented: “I think it is quite easy to sign up to a course that promises to teach ‘FBI techniques’ online..”

“Of course Rachel has FBI training, she’s such an icon,” another added.
