The Traitors' Jessie shocks fans with public message to Matty after he asks the Traitors to murder her
Matty knows exactly what he wants to happen nextTraitors star Jessie Stride has publicly reached out to Matty Hyndman online after he demanded for her to be murdered.
Matty was shown making the ruthless request during the most recent episode of The Traitors.
After being given the chance to speak to Traitors Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby, Matty told them he wants Jessie killed off next.
The creative director then said in return that he wants to switch allegiances from the Faithful and join the Traitors’ fold.
Jessie has now reached out publicly to Matty – and fans are stunned by her message to him.
The Traitors’ Jessie messages Matty after murder demand
Jessie sent her message to Matty on Instagram, but what she said was rather surprising.
Instead of being angry with him, the hairdresser told Matty: “Love you, brother.” He also told her: “Love you.”
Followers of the pair couldn’t believe their eyes. One responded with a ‘mind blown’ emoji, while another perplexed fan adding: “Say what?!”
Matty went on to write: “Honestly, Jessie is a total queen.”
Strange way to show love, no?!
Traitors fans were left on the edges of their seats last week as Matty made his request to Rachel and Stephen.
Together with fellow Faithful Harriet Tyce, he won the opportunity to speak to the Traitors following a successful Mission.
At the end of Thursday’s episode, the pair were shown making their way to a confession booth at Ardross Castle. Matty was first to speak to the pair – who he could not see or identify.
Matty asked them: “I feel like I’m going to take a big leap of faith and so I kind of need to gain some trust from you. So if I ask questions, I want them to be true.
“So, who are you going to kill next and why?”
Rachel and Stephen posted a handwritten note through a flap which had Jessie Stride’s name on it.
“Jessie, under the radar. I agree, I agree,” Matty said. After burning the letter in a small fire next to him, he continued: “Here’s what I want to happen.”
Matty’s deal with the Traitors
Matty went on to offer a deal to Rachel and Stephen. It involves them ‘seducing’ him as a Traitor, which means bringing him into their fold.
He told the Traitors: “I’m taking a massive risk here but want to know that there’s some trust. I suspect Claudia will offer you the opportunity to seduce the next time you meet.
“I want you to turn that down and I want you to murder Jessie. And then the next time you seduce, you can seduce me.
“My question is, do we have a deal?”
The tension was at fever pitch as Matty stood and waited for an answer to his offer. He could be heard insisting via a voiceover: “I’m not a monster, I don’t want Jessie to die. But I came here to play the game and that’s what I am going to do.”
Frustratingly, the episode ended with Rachel and Stephen dropping their response back through the box.
One viewer has since messaged Matty on Instagram and shared a sentiment the rest of the nation will likely agree with.
He told the Traitors star: “Brilliant move and I didn’t expect this, can’t wait to see what happens next….just when you think this show can’t get any better! Best cliff hanger yet!”
The Traitors, thankfully, continues at 8pm on BBC One tomorrow night (Wednesday January 14, 2026). Phew!
