The Traitors fans angry over fears BBC producers 'interfered' with final: "Unfair advantage"
Fans aren't happyThe Traitors fans are upset after claiming BBC producers interfered with the show to sway the final tomorrow.
We saw the group push themselves in the second-from-last mission, but viewers are convinced that a decision from BBC bosses was “interference”.
Roxy was murdered by the Traitors, and until her last moment, she truly believed Rachel and Stephen were Faithfuls. (We would have loved to see her reaction when she found out!)
The penultimate episode was tense, especially as we saw Traitor Stephen slowly turn his back on fellow Traitor Rachel.

Brutal mission
The group had to carry gold rocks in a backpack as they trekked up a steep incline to the top of the peak. At the top they had to lay down their gold rocks to fill a shield to prevent the Traitors from fulfilling their final murder.
On the way, they could use their gold rocks to smash urns for more rocks. Yes, it seemed odd at the time.
James rushed back to ensure they could gather more gold rocks, but after pushing himself, he began vomiting on the way back up and collapsed in the grassy verge. Faraaz ran to pick up the gold, while Jack and Stephen rushed to make sure he was okay.
Thankfully, they finished the mission, which meant Rachel and Stephen couldn’t murder tonight. However, this backfired on the Traitors. Although they wanted to continue their facade of being a Faithful, it meant they couldn’t play a final hand in the game with the last murder.

Producers ‘interfering’
However, fans were upset with BBC producers allowing the mission to prevent the final murder of the series. They thought it was denying the nature of the game at the final step, instead of offering certain members a shield from murder.
One viewer wrote: “I really dislike when the producers interfere because it looks like the Traitors will win (the seer last year, stopping the final murder this year.
“If they deserve it and the Faithfuls don’t, just let the Traitors win.”
Another said: “Letting them prevent the last murder is awful producer interference? Like what is going on?
“Such an unfair advantage and we know Rachel is going now.
“This is heading for the most boring end ever.”
While a third penned: “Season 4 of The Traitors has had the worst group of Faithfuls. Yet, production has swayed this for the Faithfuls to win. I will be fuming if a Traitor doesn’t win – Rachel and Stephen have worked hard.”
TV Guide has approached the BBC for comment.

Stephen vs Rachel
In Wednesday’s episode, we saw Rachel warn Stephen that he might hear her say his name in discussions in the castle.
Fans feared it meant the two Traitors would be turning on each other in the penultimate episode.
At breakfast the following morning we saw Stephen start to sow seeds of doubt. Stephen told Jack how Faraaz walked into the library and told them he thinks Rachel was a Traitor. Jade and James joined them in discussing that need to look into Rachel after not following Harriet’s advice when she left the castle amid her explosive downfall.
He tried it again in the kitchen with Jade and Jack, and reminded how Rachel got Fiona out as a Traitor in a similar way Harriet tried with Rachel herself.
Whereas Rachel was still trying to raise suspicion when it came to James. After calling James an ‘evil genius’ at breakfast, she compared him to Columbo in a chat with Faraaz before the mission. She tried to imply that he always flew ‘under the radar’, but James bit back that Columbo was the detective and not the murderer. Ouch.

Chests of chance cliffhanger
Jack, James and Jade questioned Rachel on many occurrences, including why she voted for Matt when she said she wanted to reach the final with him.
Stephen opened the floor against James, despite talking about Rachel all day.
James was questioned on why he often voted the same as pal Jack, which was initially brought up by banished Faithful Matt previously.
The Round Table became tense when Stephen and Rachel questioned each other. First Rachel brought up the cage mission – where Stephen was in one of the cages – and then Stephen bit back.
However, Stephen stayed true to his oath and votes for James. It became a tie though, with three votes for Rachel and three for James. After another plea and round of votes, it was still a draw between the two names.
Claudia brought out the chests of chance, and in true Traitors style, we were left with a cliffhanger in who was to be banished from the final. Will Rachel be at the final Round Table?
