The Traitors returned tonight for the start of the final week, and the ceremonial dagger power has been handed out.

Over the last few weeks, viewers have been tuning in to find whether or not Traitors Rachel and Stephen can do what it takes to get to the final.

But tonight, the ceremonial dagger came out to play. And Stephen and Rachel decided to give it to James – so they can get Matthew out of the game. When Claudia revealed who had the power, chaos ensued in the castle.

Why did Rachel and Stephen give James the dagger?

After much discussion, Rachel and Stephen decided to give the dagger to James. They did this because currently Matthew would have the most votes. And by giving it to someone who already suspects him, it makes him look even more guilty.

This immediately worked at breakfast, when everyone began discussing if Matthew had chosen James to try to make him look innocent.

Matthew tried to plead his innocence. And during the conversation, he began getting suspicious of Stephen, himself. After, during a conversation in the kitchen, Matthew pointed out that he thinks Traitors will vote for him – making Stephen question his plans.

After watching their plans go their way, The Traitors fans took to social media to share how easily Rachel and Stephen are winning. One wrote: “There is nothing they could do to make some Faithfuls even consider them. It’s fascinating how untouchable they are.”

Players began turning against Rachel and Stephen

However, as the episode continued, more and more Faithfuls began getting suspicious of both Rachel and Stephen.

Faraaz spoke to Jack in the kitchen, and revealed he actually had been getting a bit suspicious of Rachel. And Jack agreed.

This wasn’t long after, Matthew told Roxy that he thinks – if it’s not Jade – then it is Rachel and Stephen.

It clearly affected Roxy. To the point she actually went straight to Rachel to ask her if she was the reason she was still in the game. Shocked, Rachel managed to talk herself out of it. But suspicions were aroused.

Fans very quickly were thrilled to see the Faithfuls are finally catching on, and now Rachel and Stephen’s time could be running out.

One said: “They are finally clocking on, thank goodness!”

Another added: “I think Rachel and Stephen’s plan is about to backfire.”

Fans shocked over ‘chaotic’ roundtable

As the roundtable kicked off, it was immediately James Vs Matthew. And things did not disappoint.

James immediately went very heavy on Matthew. But that just made everyone think James was hiding something.

He told the rest of the table to vote Matthew out as it is an important night for the Faithfuls.

Fans at home were obsessed with how intense the whole situation was.

One penned: “This is chaotic and I absolutely love it.”

Another added: “The tide turning towards James is such an interesting turn.”

In the end, Matthew was banished from the castle, and fans were shocked.

One said: “Stephen and Rachel and geniuses for giving James the dagger. It caused so much chaos.”

“The rest of this week is going to kick off,” another added.

A third wrote: “This is the best episode ever. The chaos is amazing.”
