'They got lucky!' Traitors fans divided as Adam becomes latest player murdered
Fans were shockedThe Traitors returned tonight, and instantly kicked off as Adam became the next contestant murdered.
Over the last few episodes, fans have been absolutely hooked, with every instalment leading to more and more drama. But tonight, fans expected Jessie to be murdered, as the Traitors made a deal with Matthew.
However, viewers didn’t want that to happen. So, everyone was stressed watching who was walking into the kitchen. And many were left happy with the outcome, although some questioned if it was the right decision.
Adam becomes next player murdered
At the beginning of the episode, we saw Traitors Rachel and Stephen debate who they should kill. And they were very strategic.
Knowing they need to get the heat away from Rachel, they narrowed down how to make others look suspicious. Now, they had already made a deal with Matthew that they would murder Jessie next, and seduce him afterwards. So, many would think that would be the easy choice.
However, some people are now suspecting Matthew may be a Traitor, so keeping him in the competition helps them in the long run. And so, to get more people looking at him, they chose to murder Adam.
Speaking about their decision, the Traitors said: “If we murder Adam, it also takes someone out of the game that I can’t read. He’s someone I can’t sway because I don’t have a good relationship with him.”
Because of the shields that were won, Rachel and Stephen had no idea if their decision would work. But it did. And Adam became murdered.
Speaking about his time on the show, Adam said: “I wanted to carry on playing but they murdered me. They’ve done me in my sleep. I’m happy for as far as I have come in this game. It’s been a life-changing experience. Everything I have learned and every person I met I have took a little bit on board.”
Fans react to the murder
However, fans were actually quite surprised about the decision, with a lot of them glad the Traitors kept Jessie, despite her having a shield.
Taking to X, one wrote: “So glad they got rid of Adam.”
Another added: “They got so lucky picking Adam. One of the only people with no shield.”
“Adam was the best Faithful on that show. Not a single person was suspicious about him,” a third penned.
Another added: “How on earth did they actually murder someone with no shield? They really had luck on their side.”
One fan shared their shock: “Adam? I thought they were going to go for Jessie.”
However some were upset that Adam is no longer in the show. One penned: “I’m actually upset about Adam leaving. He seemed like such a nice guy.”
“Adam didn’t deserve to leave, he hasn’t done anything wrong,” another added.
Another penned: “So glad Jessie is still in the game.” While another commented: “Jessie is safe, thank you Traitors.”
But while fans weren’t too annoyed by the murder, Matthew was.
Matthew wasn’t too happy with the outcome
A few nights ago, Matthew met with the Traitors and asked them who they would murder next, to which they told him Jessie.
As a result, he asked to make a deal – murder Jessie and recruit him. So, he was quite shocked when Jessie walked in.
One fan wrote: “Matthew’s probably so annoyed right now.” Another added: “Matthew is so fixated on the fantasy of being recruited and I fear that’s never going to happen.”
“Matthew is playing this game as a Traitor. Does he know he’s still a Faithful?” a third asked.
Another added: “Oh Matthew is annoyed.”
Matthew spoke about the decision, saying: “Jessie wasn’t murdered last night. She had the shield. So, I’m just wondering if the deal I made with the Traitors is still on?”
Later in the episode, Matthew once again was thinking about his deal, hoping that The Traitors will decide to murder Jessie tonight.
So, only time will tell if Rachel and Stephen are going to keep their word…
