Traitors viewers voice concern for Jade after 'uncomfortable' scenes
Jade was an immediate target last nightThe Traitors viewers were left feeling sorry for Jade after she was once again targeted at the round table during Wednesday night’s episode (January 21).
During the episode, Faithful Matthew became the latest contestant to be banished. Much to their disappointment, Traitors Stephen and Rachel once again managed to evade suspicion.
The Traitors contestant Jade accused of being ‘defensive’
As discussions turned to who would be voted out next, Jade quickly found herself in the firing line. Matthew led the accusations against her.
While attempting to defend herself, Jade was criticised for being “quite defensive” and accused of only naming people as Traitors after they had questioned her. Faraaz also claimed that her approach to defending herself had “worsened” her position.
However, James came to Jade’s defence. He suggested Matthew was deliberately redirecting attention onto her after confidently believing he himself was a Traitor.
Since the beginning of the show, Jade has been a constant target after banished Faithful Amanda believed she was a Traitor.
In the end, Jade only received one vote from Faraaz and avoided banishment. However, viewers at home were still unsatisfied with how she was treated. Some, in fact, were concerned.
‘I truly hope production checked in on Jade regularly’
“I really don’t like the way people speak to Jade, it makes me very uncomfortable,” one user wrote on X.
“Jade is constantly having to defend herself at the round table, I’m starting to feel sorry for her,” another person shared.
“I truly hope production checked in on Jade regularly because she has had a rough road of the constant attack of accusation feels a lot harsher on her,” a third remarked.
“I feel sorry for Jade,” a fourth said.
Meanwhile, another expressed: “Actually so bored of them going after Jade.”
With just seven contestants remaining, this year’s final will air on Friday (January 23).
