It’s that time of the week again, where fans sit around and watch a group of Faithfuls try to work out who is a Traitor, coming up with their own show theories. And after that huge bombshell cliffhanger of Matthew’s request, it’s guaranteed to be a good episode.
But some eagle-eyed viewers noticed a difference to host Claudia Winkleman in the previous episode. And now they’re convinced she is trying to give the game away. All thanks to her lipstick!
Why fans are convinced Claudia is trying to reveal the truth
Claudia Winkleman usually keeps her signature eye make-up for The Traitors. But her lips are usually quite a neutral colour.
However, this wasn’t the case in a recent episode. And when fans noticed it, it sent their heads spinning on why she may have switched up her style on this occasion.
Instead of her usual look, Claudia opted to wear bright pink lipstick to the roundtable. The same colour as Traitors Stephen and Fiona’s jumpers. Coincidence? Traitors fans don’t think so.
Instead, fans of the show now believe that it was Claudia’s subtle way of letting those who are a Faithful know to look out for the people in pink.
What exactly is the theory?
The theory was proposed on Reddit. One fan penned: “Colour clues? Does anyone else think Claudia was giving some major clues with her lipstick at the table? Not sure if it was intentional or just a coincidence.”
Another agreed, insisting that production probably would have known what Fiona and Stephen were wearing prior to filming.
They added: “The contestants bring their own clothes. But we know from former players that production chooses their outfits each day. So Stephen and Fiona both wearing pink was certainly known about by production.”
“It was a bit odd. But I think it was to make the coat really pop,” a third suspicious fan added.
However, not everyone was on board with the theory. One user joked: “You’ll pull a muscle if you reach that hard.”
Other fans on X also noticed that it was strange for Claudia to change her staple lipstick. One commented: “Shocker of the night so far is Claudia wearing pink lipstick.”
“Claudia has changed her lipstick. The game is on,” another penned.
What is happening on The Traitors?
During the same discussion at the table, Traitor Fiona was banished, after a showdown with fellow player Rachel.
Some viewers worried that the show wouldn’t be the same without their rivalry. But then a shock twist took place.
In the most recent challenge, players got to win the ultimate prize – a chance to ask the Traitors a question.
Faithful’s Matthew and Harriet won this, alongside Traitor Rachel. But nobody wanted to give away what they were going to ask.
Matthew was first up, and once he discovered the Traitors were planning on murdering Jessie next, he offered them a deal. And that was to murder Jessie, and recruit him.
Unfortunately, the episode ended right there so fans have no idea what decision is made. So, tonight’s episode will definitely be huge. And all eyes may be on Claudia’s lipstick colour…
