‘Mad’ Traitors theory suggests unaired scenes put Rachel in the frame
It was a dramatic episodeThe Traitors caused quite the stir when it returned to our screens last night (January 14) following a five-day hiatus, as Rachel once again faced the pressure.
Everyone thought Matthew’s bombshell request in the confessional was going to be the big talking point of the next episode. But in reality, Harriet stole the show by going all-in on Rachel.
She made her point known from the very second she got the opportunity to talk to the Traitors. And quite frankly, left Rachel terrified. But now, a new theory has suggested why this may be the case.

Did Harriet and Fiona have an off-air chat?
During the episode, Harriet said to everyone that Fiona told her that Rachel was a Traitor. And while that’s not against the rules, now that everyone knows Fiona was also a Traitor, it does look a little suspicious.
But some fans think it all even went one step further. A new theory proposes the idea that Fiona may have actually dropped herself and Rachel in it. Fans think she told Harriet that she was a Traitor and that’s how she knows Rachel is one too.
Taking to Reddit to suggest the theory, one fan wrote: “After tonight’s episode, I believe that Fiona, knowing she had shot herself in the foot with her tirade against Rachel and knew her time was up, just took Harriet aside and flat out told her that she and Rachel were Traitors, and it just wasn’t aired. I am absolutely convinced.”
Another added: “I am inclined to agree. Either way, I think there was something unaired that prompted Harriet to lose it.”
“If Fiona did that then that’s actually mad,” a third added. While a fourth wrote: “I wouldn’t be surprised. Fiona did show herself to be very unpredictable.”
However, some fans were sure that if that was the case, then she would be breaking show rules.
“That goes completely against the rules of the game. It shouldn’t be allowed if it did happen,” one argued.
Another added: “They’re being filmed and watched the entire time they are together. It’s probably a bit difficult to have private chats.”
The BBC has been contacted for comment. `

Rachel once again won the showdown
Whether or not the theory actually holds any substance remains unknown. But Rachel once again came out victorious, as Harriet was banished.
In a strange turn of events, when Harriet realised things weren’t going her way, she created an entirely new plan. Instead of getting everyone to keep her in, she asked everyone to vote her out so she can prove she is not a Traitor.
While many had issues with doing this, the majority agreed. And in the end, Harriet said goodbye to the castle – not before shocking everyone by revealing she is a Faithful.
With Harriet gone, most people seemed to turn their attentions to Roxy and Matthew, and somehow, Rachel seems to have escaped the eyes on her once again.
But the question is, how long before Rachel’s luck starts running out? Or will she make it to the very end?
