Traitors winner Stephen Libby still hasn’t been paid his huge sum of prize money, he has revealed.

Stephen triumphed on the BBC show alongside Rachel Duffy after deceiving their co-stars to victory.

On Friday night, fans saw the pair scoop a staggering £95,750 to split between them after winning the show.

But Stephen has now admitted that he still hasn’t received the cash into his bank.

The Traitor’s Stephen still waiting for prize money

Stephen and Rachel are each due a share of £47,875 in prize money following Friday night’s epic final.

The pair kept the nation on the edge of their sofas as they stuck to their promise to work together until the bitter end.

Both Rachel and Stephen had told host Claudia Winkleman that they would spend their winnings on their families. Stephen wants to “give back” to his parents, while Rachel wants to treat her sick mother to a holiday.

But although series 4 of The Traitors was filmed last summer, Stephen says he and Rachel are still waiting for their money.

Stephen baffled fans with the admission during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning.

Hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shepard asked if he had received his prize yet, but he replied: “The money is not in there yet. I’m not checking because I want to get a nice surprise when it finally comes in.”

Unfortunately, Cat and Ben did not go on to ask Stephen why he hasn’t had it yet. And fans are desperate to know.

Writing on X, one viewer said: “The Traitors was filmed several months ago, so somewhat surprising that Stephen hasn’t received his winnings yet.”

Another added: “I can understand them not paying until it was aired. As expect a non-disclosure was signed. But should have been sent for first thing today.”

And someone else said: “BBC just pay him and Rachel, they won fair and square.”

TVGuide has contacted the BBC for comment.

Stephen quits day job after win

Stephen will need his money quickly, as he also told Cat and Ben that he has given up his job.

The Traitors winner had been working as a cyber security consultant at security tech firm Synack when he took part in the show. But he has now jacked it in.

“I’ve left my job so the money will be allowing me to survive,” Stephen added.

He also has big plans to update his quirky wardrobe when the cash eventually drops, saying that “new jumpsuits are on the cards” for him.

Cat grilled Stephen about his clothes and how many suitcases he took to Ardross Castle. He explained: “I had two suitcases and a hope and a prayer. There was a limit, I went to the nth degree.”

She then told Stephen she wants to go for a “wee boogie” with him when he next wears a jumpsuit for a night out.
