What time is Wake Up Dead Man out on Netflix? How to watch Knives Out 3
Wake Up Dead Man, the newest Knives Out movie, is about to drop on Netflix
Wake Up Dead Man is this week’s biggest Netflix release – and if you’re among the fans waiting for Knives Out 3, we have details of what time it’ll be available to stream.
The first Knives Out movie was a theatrical exclusive. However, everything changed with Glass Onion (one of the best Netflix films), Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig’s first Benoit Blanc sequel.
This marked the first film in Johnson’s Netflix deal, with the platform allowing a (very) limited release in cinemas before coming to streaming.
Wake Up Dead Man, the third Knives Out mystery, is finally here – so, make sure you know exactly when it’ll drop.

Wake Up Dead Man release date and time on Netflix
Wake Up Dead Man will be available to stream on Netflix from 8am UK time on Friday, December 12.
This tends to be the release time for most Netflix movies and shows. However, there are exceptions; for example, Stranger Things season 5 is dropping new episodes in the early hours of the morning for UK viewers.
If you’re going to be abroad (or you’re just curious), here’s when the movie drops in other time zones:
- 12am PT
- 2am CT
- 3am ET

- 9am Central European Time
- 10am Eastern European Time
- 12pm Dubai
- 1:30pm India
- 4pm China
- 5pm Japan

How long is Knives Out 3?
Wake Up Dead Man has a 2 hour 24 minute runtime, making it the longest Knives Out movie so far.
Specifically, it’s the longest film in the series by five minutes. The first Knives Out was just 2 hours 10 minutes long, while Glass Onion was 2 hours 19 minutes.

What is Wake Up Dead Man about?
Wake Up Dead Man sees the return of Craig’s Benoit Blanc for another mystery. This time, we’re in Chimney Rock, a quaint, religious town in upstate New York.
As per the official synopsis, it’s Blanc’s “most dangerous case” and the “darkest chapter” of Johnson’s trilogy.
The film follows Jud (Josh O’Connor), a young priest sent to work under the town’s formidable Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin).
However, “it’s clear that all is not well in the pews… after a sudden and seemingly impossible murder rocks the town, the lack of an obvious suspect prompts local police chief Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis) to join forces with renowned detective Benoit Blanc to unravel a mystery that defies all logic.”
This will include Jud and Blanc navigating tense dynamics with Wicks’ parishioners: devout church lady Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close), groundskeeper Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church), lawyer Vera Draven (Kerry Washington), aspiring politician Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack), town doctor Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner), bestselling author Lee Ross (Andrew Scott), and concert cellist Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny).
Is Knives Out 3 still in cinemas?
Knives Out 3 is still screening in Showcase Cinemas and other independent theatrical chains.
If you’d rather watch it on the big screen with a crowd, don’t worry. Even though it drops on Netflix on Friday, you can still catch it in cinemas over the weekend.
