Fans are now begging for more after the most recent episode finished with a huge question mark hanging over it.
Faithful Matty Hyndman had been granted permission to speak to the Traitors (Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby) in a confession box.
He made them a ruthless offer – kill Jessie Stride next and accept him as a new recruit.

The Traitors: Fiona is banished
Drama in the castle reached fever pitch last week thanks to a massive fallout between Traitors Rachel and Fiona Hughes.
The scenes were branded the most explosive in UK Traitors history and viewers couldn’t believe their eyes. Fiona told the entire group that Rachel was a Traitor in a bid to out her.
Talk about throwing her fellow Traitor under the bus!
Incredibly, no-nonsense Rachel managed to claw things back and convince the rest of the players that it was Fiona who they needed to watch out for. And, sure enough, she was later banished at the Round Table.
Rachel later credited Fiona for taking her exit with such good grace while talking to the only other remaining Traitor, Stephen.
Things then took an even more dramatic turn….
Matty asks to be a Traitor
The most recent Mission saw the players all head into the woods. They had to find a series of mirrors and answer questions about each other.
These including picking who is “most bland” (Ellie) and “most likeable” (Jessie).
The winning group were told that several of them would have the chance to speak to the Traitors. Matty and Harriet Tyce volunteered themselves.
At the end of the show, Matty was seen heading into a confession box. He asked the Traitors to make a deal with him. He told them he wanted Jessie murdered next and for them to recruit him.
Rachel and Stephen stood in silence behind the screen, shocked and wondering what to do.
The show then cut to the credits, leaving the nation on a cliffhanger. Gah!

When is The Traitors on next?
We wouldn’t blame you for having Traitors withdrawal symptoms. It is completely normal to be so engrossed by this point in the series!
They are keeping us waiting for the next episode of The Traitors, but it isn’t far off now.
You can tune in to find out whether Rachel and Stephen agree to Matty’s offer on Wednesday January 14, 2025. The show kicks off at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The 8pm start time has confused fans, as The Traitors previously aired at 9pm. So don’t get caught out!
The show has actually been moved earlier so BBC One can also accommodate the spin-off show, Uncloaked. This previously aired on BBC Two, but it is now showing on BBC One permanently in 2026.
The good news is that the second the credits of The Traitors have rolled, you can join Ed Gamble and co without even having to reach for the remote!
When is The Traitors final?
This year’s series of The Traitors has 12 episodes, with the remaining shows all lasting one hour in length each.
With this in mind, this 2026 final of The Traitors is due to fall on Friday January 23, 2026.
The BBC is yet to confirm the exact date for the series finale, but unless something dramatic changes with the TV schedules, this is the most likely date.
Last year’s series concluded on Friday January 24 with Faithfuls Jake Brown and Leanne Quigley being crowned the winners.
