Jeremy Vine fans will have noticed a change this week, as Isabel Webster is sat in his Channel 5 seat – but why?

Isabel, 43, is best known for fronting both GB News and Sky News’ breakfast shows.

But for a couple of days this week, she’s leading the charge while Jeremy is away.

Isabel began her stand-in duties for Jeremy on Thursday’s episode of the popular current affairs show (July 2, 2026).

Here’s how long she’s presenting the Channel 5 morning staple for and when Jeremy, 61, will be back in the hot seat.

Jeremy has been missing from The Jeremy Vine Show all week. And today, it’s Isabel Webster’s turn to stand in for him.

Isabel has been handed mutiple topics to discuss with the panel today. They include England’s chances of winning the FIFA World Cup 2026, whether teachers should go on strike and the Henry Nowak case.

Her appearance comes after Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins had held the fort for the past three days.

Charlotte had stood in for Matthew Allwright on his C5 show last Friday. And although fronting The Jeremy Vine Show is an even bigger daytime gig, she took it in her stride.

A source confirmed to The Sun that Charlotte will still continue working for ITV, but they said she is enjoying “pushing herself”.

“It’s a great step for Charlotte and shows just how much she is valued at 5 and trusted to step in when needed,” the insider added. “She’s a huge talent and there is lots of exciting things coming up for her.”

A spokesperson for ITN, that produces The Jeremy Vine Show, told TVGuide that Jeremy is on holiday.

He has taken the entire week off from both the C5 show and his BBC Radio 2 show. But he will be back next week.
