Alex is certainly brimming with confidence when it comes to footballLove Is Blind’s Alex Henderson is certainly full of confidence – but which football team did he play for?
The former footballer is one of 36 singles in the new series of the Netflix show and is extremely self-assured.
The first six episodes of season 10 have now dropped and Alex talks loud and proud about his past life as an athlete.
In episode 3, Alex – who now works in financial sales – even talks about how he has been “blessed with a very good shell to chase athletic dreams”.
Alex, 31, confidently says: “I was an athlete and I hang out with ex-professional athletes as well.
“A lot of women probably look at social media and the way the athletes treat their women and look at that as something that’s attractive without diving into what that relationship is.
“They then get to 35 and the guy is done playing sport and they realise they’re not really meant to be together.”
Referring to his body, Alex adds: “I understand this is just a shell. And yes, I’ve been blessed with a very good one to chase athletic dreams and accomplish most of them.
“I do hear from other people that it’s a very good shell.”
So what football team did Alex actually play for? And what are his views on David Beckham?

Later in the series, Alex will be seen getting down on one knee and proposing to Ashley Carpenter.
He then brings up his past life as a football player (or soccer player, as they call it Stateside) while on the beach in Cabo, Mexico.
Alex and Ashley are having a conversation about where they would like to travel to together.
Alex says: “I do want to do Portugal, that’s where [Cristiano] Ronaldo was born.”
Ashley replies: “Who’s the other one? Tim Howard. Do you want to go and see that?”
Tim, although born in New Jersey, America, was signed as a goalkeeper to Manchester United from 2003 to 2007. He was then loaned to Everton, before signing to the team for another nine years.
But Alex says: “He’s American. I met him already. He’s a weirdo.”
Ashley then asks, “What about Beckham?”referring to former England captain, David Beckham.
Alex scoffs: “Get out of here. He’s not even good!”
Ashley says she ‘just likes Posh Spice’. Alex tells her: “I respect it, they’re a good couple for sure.”
What team did Love Is Blind’s Alex play football for?
You might think Alex played for one of the giants.
A career with Real Madrid, perhaps? Or the likes of Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur here in the UK? There is even the British Alex Henderson who plays for Accrington Stanley.
But no, not him. Minnesota United FC (MUFC) drafted Alex as a goalkeeper in 2016.
In the US, top university players can enter professional drafts – similar to how the NFL and other leagues recruit college athletes – where bigger teams select them for their rosters.
Alex, known then as Alec Ferrell, had been playing for Wake Forest University in North Carolina. MUFC drafted him for the 2016/2017 season; however, a knee injury forced him to leave.
Alex said in a recent podcast: “Soccer was a massive part of my life. I got to Wake Forest and that was everything to me. The knee surgeries hit and that ruined everything.”
