Why The Repair Shop isn't on tonight and when it will be back as BBC shakes up schedule
How disappointing! The Repair Shop fans will be left disappointed tonight when they settle down to watch the show as it isn’t on. But why?
The BBC has replaced the popular show, which sees experts bring back to life people’s broken treasures, with something else.
Viewers expecting to see Will Kirk, Steve and Suzie Fletcher and the rest of the experts will be wondering where they have gone. And, more importantly, when they will be back.

Don’t worry, we’ve got the answers to these burning questions.
Why isn’t The Repair Shop on tonight?
Fans of The Repair Shop will be sitting down expecting to watch the show tonight. It has been airing at 8pm on BBC One for the past few weeks.
But tonight the BBC has pulled the show from the schedule. Instead, viewers will get an episode of MasterChef: The Professionals instead. With just five chefs left in the competition, the remaining contestants go head-to-head at a pop-up restaurant in London
So has The Repair Shop been moved to 9pm? Nope, sadly not. The brand new series of Ambulance kicks off in that slot tonight. The first episode of series 16 sees ambulance crew calling the police after being attacked by a patient. Nasty.
Where has The Repair Shop gone, though? And will it ever come back?!

When is The Repair Shop on next?
Great news. The BBC’s schedule shake-up is just for this week. The Repair Shop will be back on screens next week. Wahoo!
The next episode will see a chap called Gary arrive at the barn with an electric guitar. The instrument belonged to his dad, Eddie Clayton, who played in a band with Ringo Starr prior to his Beatles stardom.

The guitar is damaged and no longer plays, so Julyan Wallis takes charge. Other treasures needing repair include an exquisite bangle and a rediscovered set of Kent peg tiles.
The Repair Shop will return at 8pm on Wednesday March 18, 2026. If you can’t wait that long, you can catch up with the experts each weekday in The Repair Shop on the Road at 3.45pm on BBC One.
The spin-off is worth the watch. This week, Will helped to reunite an entire community with a large bronze war memorial. Someone stole the two-plaque memorial, which features the names of 163 fallen WW1 soldiers, and smashed it with an axe.
Thankfully, Will and two bronze experts worked their magic to return it to its original state. Well done, chaps.
