Olivia Frances Brown has joined the cast of Coronation Street as mysterious character Jodie, but in real-life she’s wedding planning.

Jodie’s arrival in Coronation Street

Jodie is the name of the mysterious woman who first appeared tied up in the back of a van in the soap crossover Corriedale this week.

Viewers were confused to see the woman in a state of distress, not having been introduced to her before.

She was seen tied up in a van driver by Emmerdale’s Graham Foster. Yes, the Graham who supposedly ‘died’ six years ago. Confusing, right?!

After escaping and running through the woods, she then found her way to the hospital where she looked shocked to recognise Shona Platt.

With Shona going into labour, Jodie kept a close eye on her while watching her from a distance. It also appeared that she was sporting the same tree tattoo as the expectant mother. Suspicious.

Olivia Frances Brown’s life of screen: Coronation Street star engaged to BBC actor

Away from the cobbles, actress Olivia Frances Brown appears to be having a much more joyful time than her Weatherfield persona.

The actress who has appeared in series such as Boiling Point and The Gathering, is engaged to BBC James Nelson-Joyce.

Fans might know James for his appearance in This City Is Ours as Michael Kavanagh.

In August 2025, the Thousand Blows star shared a photo of himself on Instagram with a glammed up Olivia before sharing a photo of his partner smiling with a ring on her finger.

The couple were then flooded with messages of congratulations to celebrate the news of their engagement.
