David’s falling apart in Classic Coronation Street

Sarah’s delighted when Gail forces David to apologise to Mel and Jerry in the takeaway in front of the customers. Sarah’s quick to tell Jason about David’s public humiliation, but Jason feels a bit sorry for him. After overhearing his family talking about him, David clambers up on to the factory roof where Jason finds him. David scares him by telling him how he could shoot his family from there if he had a gun.

Jason’s worried about David’s state of mind. He tries to talk to him about his fantasy of killing his family, but David doesn’t want to chat. Jason chickens out of telling Sarah.

Has Paul gone too far?

Paul tells Leanne he’ll raise £20,000 to invest in the restaurant. Leanne doesn’t believe him, but agrees to a 60/40 split if he comes up with the cash. Later, Paul secretly makes a phone call and orders a driving licence in the name of Jack Duckworth. What is he up to?

Meanwhile, when Liam comes to the restaurant for a meeting Leanne is pleased to see him. And when his client can’t make it, they end up having lunch together. Leanne’s hopeful they can patch things up but Liam realises he can’t forgive her.

It’s Jack and Vera’s 50th wedding anniversary. Jack gives Vera a gold necklace which Paul bought for him. Meanwhile, Dev puts on a chauffeur’s uniform, picks Jack and Vera up in his car and drives them to the Rovers! There Molly has organised a party for the couple.  At the party Jack makes a touching speech and then sings to Vera. Aww!

Paul sneaks away from the party to go through the Duckworths’ documents tin. But when they come home, he has to quickly replace everything.

The next day, Leanne’s surprised to find Paul giving a man from the bank a tour of the restaurant. And she’s even more surprised to hear him being called Jack. But Paul has a plan! Using the deeds to No.9 and a fake driving licence, Paul persuades the man from the bank to lend him £20,000 to buy into the restaurant. Leanne’s shocked when Paul admits he’s stolen Jack’s identity to borrow the £20,000, but she needs the money and knowing she’s not going to find another investor she agrees to sell him the 40 % they’d agreed.

She tells Roger she can pay him back, and Paul tells Jack and Vera how he’s bought into the Italian restaurant. They’re really proud of him. But Roger’s disappointed when Leanne gives him a cheque for £2,000 rather than the £10,000 she owes him.

When Tyrone returns from Spain, Molly tells him Paul’s invested in Valandro’s. Ty’s suspicious about where Paul got the money.
