Classic Coronation Street preview: Horror for Hayley, trouble for Tyrone, and David's struggling

Hayley's under attack when she tells Christian the truth

In Classic Coronation Street spoilers for ITV3 this week (November 24th – 28th), Hayley plucks up the courage to tell Christian with devastating consequences. And Becky gets very protective of her friend!

Meanwhile, David’s dealing with the aftermath of Bethany eating the pills, while Liz and Vernon make wedding plans

And Tyrone’s still determined to expose Paul, even though Paul seems to have the upper hand.

These episodes originally aired in September and October 2007.

Bethany’s in a bad way

David is arrested as Bethany remains unconscious in hospital. Gail washes her hands of her son and tells him to pack his bags and go, while Hayley and Roy drift further apart.

With little Bethany still unconscious, the Platts are frantic and David is a mess. He tells Darryl that Bethany took one of his ecstasy tablets. And furious Gail grabs Darryl out of his car and screams at him, so David says he lied when he said the drugs were Darryl’s.

With tempers rising, Jerry shouts at Darryl. When the police arrive and arrest David. Gail refuses to go with him to the police station.

David lies to the police, telling them he got the drugs from a stranger on the street.

David’s thrown out!

David is released with only a formal warning but Sarah is furious. She tells Gail that she plans to move out when Bethany recovers, but Gail tells her that David is the one who will be moving out and packs his bags.

Later, Bethany comes round, leaving everyone relieved. And there’s more good news when the doctor tells Sarah her little girl should make a full recovery.

Jerry finds out that David’s been staying in the shed.

He throws him out and give Darryl a clip round the ear. David tries to worm his way back in with Gail, but she chucks him out.

Audrey is shocked when she finds out Gail’s thrown David out. Feeling she has no option as his grandmother, she tells Gail that David will have to move in with her. Audrey tells David he’s going to make some rules and he’s going to have to stick to them!

David finds it hard when Audrey lays down the law. They go to collect some of his belongings, just as Sarah and Bethany come home from the hospital.

Sarah’s furious to bump into David, but Bethany hugs him and David’s genuinely sorry that he could have accidentally killed her.

Wedding bells for Vernon and Liz

Vernon excitedly tells Liz he’s booked their wedding for New Year’s Eve. Liz thinks it’s impractical to get married that day, but she eventually agrees.

Steve asks Michelle to move into the pub, but she says she can’t live with Liz and Vernon.

When the bride and groom to be discuss their plans for refurbishing the Rovers, Steve’s annoyed and points out the pub belongs to him.

Hayley’s tormented over Christian

Becky is worried about Roy and Hayley. She tells Hayley to go and see Christian again – but to speak to Roy about it.

As Roy’s birthday arrives, he and Hayley head off on the picnic together. She tells Roy she wants to get to know Christian better. Roy agrees but insists she must tell Christian the truth that she’s his father.

Hayley goes to see Christian at the shop, intending to tell him the truth. She’s pleased when Christian is happy to see her.

They chat over a coffee and Hayley gives him a silver crucifix telling him it belonged to his father. Christian’s touched and Hayley can’t bring herself to tell him the truth.

When Christian comes to the cafe asking to see ‘Auntie Hayley’, Roy is uncomfortable about lying.

Hayley though, is touched to see Christian is wearing the silver crucifix she gave him. Christian asks where his father’s grave is so Hayley lies and tells him he was cremated and she feels terrible.

Roy persuades Hayley that she simply has to tell Christian the truth. Later, Hayley steels herself and tells Christian that she is his father.

Christian lashes out

Christian reacts really badly. He is shocked and disgusted. He punches Hayley and storms off.

At home, Roy is appalled to see the cut on Hayley’s face and wants to report Christian to the police.

But Hayley blames Roy for forcing her to tell her son the truth. And Roy’s shocked when Hayley shouts at him and tells him to leave her alone.

When Becky gets involved, Hayley says she wishes she hadn’t taken Roy’s advice as now she’s lost her son forever. But Becky’s concerned and forces Roy to go and talk to Hayley.

She’s not happy though, and she tells Roy she’ll never listen to his advice again!

Becky takes charge

Hayley leaves and Becky tracks her down in a cafe. She tries to talk her into coming home but Hayley refuses saying the trust and respect she had for Roy has now gone.

Supportive, Becky phones Roy and tells him Hayley is staying with her. But poor Roy is devastated.

Later he has a meltdown in Freshco’s when  everything becomes too much for him and he ends up breaking eggs all over the floor.

The manager takes him into the office to calm him down and calls Hayley. She comes to find Roy and bring him home. Roy’s relieved to see her.

The pair talk about their relationship and agree to give it another go. They even book a trip to the Lakes.

Meanwhile, Becky marches off to see Christian. a visit. She punches him and tells him that Hayley is the kindest person she knows and he’s lucky to have her as a parent!

Classic Coronation Street – Sally’s got her eye on John

Fiz is put out when Sally tells her she and John are going to the theatre together, because she wanted to go for her birthday. John tries to solve the problem by arranging for them all go to the theatre – John, Sally, Fiz and Kevin.

When they set off for their night out, Sally’s done up to the nines. Afterwards Kevin, John and Fiz all discuss the play and how much they enjoyed it. But Sally’s annoyed and feels left out.

Liam and Carla give in to their feelings!

Liam comes back from Edinburgh but his nose is out of joint when he watches Carla on the phone flirting with a client called Tony. Carla tells him Tony is going to place a big order.

When Tony takes Carla for a drink. Liam’s annoyed.

When Carla comes into work late the next day, Liam accuses her of spending the night with Tony.

She points out it’s none of Liam’s business. When Liam tries to push past her they end up kissing passionately!

The next day they’re awkward around each other. They clearly have feelings for one another.

Classic Coronation Street – Tyrone’s gunning for Paul

Still on the hunt for evidence to prove Paul’s up to no good, Tyrone goes through his bag. But he doesn’t find anything.

When Leanne calls Paul to ask him to pick up some prosecco on his way to the restaurant, Paul steals £200 from Jack and Vera’s tin to pay for it.

Planning a lunch date, Jack goes to get some cash out of the tin and discovers £200 is missing. But Vera thinks he must have just lost it.

Later, Paul draws out £200 and replaces the money in Jack and Vera’s tin.

But when suspicious Tyrone rifles through the tin, Jack and Paul return home and catch him red-handed.

Tyrone tries to point the finger at Paul and accuses him of stealing Jack’s money but Jack finds the £200 in the tin.

Paul’s smug when Jack and Vera demand to know why Tyrone was going through their personal documents.

Ty swears he’s innocent, but Jack’s not sure. He reckons that Tyrone took the money but then changed his mind and put it back.

Jack and Vera wonder Tyrone is jealous of Paul because he’s their flesh and blood, while Tyrone isn’t.

But when the two younger men are alone, Paul shocks Tyrone by admitting that he did take the £200. Tyrone tells Molly and they agree that they need to tell Jack and Vera.

When they tell the Duckworths, though, they don’t believe them.

Trying to approach things in a different way, Molly and Tyrone tackle Paul about the £200 in front of Jack and Vera but Paul manages to twist the situation making Tyrone look like the guilty party.

Classic Coronation Street – Meanwhile…

Ashley looks after Freddie and Joshua, but he’s fed up with Claire asks him not to use his keys to let himself into the house.

Jamie and Violet return from Carol’s wedding. It’s clear that they’ve enjoyed each other’s company and didn’t mind being mistaken as a couple.
