It’s about to hit a very dramatic week on Coronation Street, as the flash-forward murder we learned about earlier this year will finally take place. So, it’s no surprise that the storylines involving the five potential victims are really ramping up. But the one that has taken centre stage this week is Theo’s abusive behaviour finally coming to light. And with Todd’s family worried there isn’t enough evidence to get Theo sent down, Summer has taken it into her own hands. Summer turned to Carl for help (Credit: ITV) Summer’s deal with Carl For the last few weeks, Carl has been trying to extort Summer into giving him her money, in order to get the full truth for Billy’s death. Viewers know that Billy didn’t die because of the Corriedale crash. Instead, Theo had the chance to save him, and decided to put his seatbelt on and let him die, as he was the only one who knew the truth about him abusing Todd. Added on to the horrific beating Theo gave Todd earlier this week, she is desperate for her family to be free of him once-and-for-all. So, tonight (April 17), she decided her only option was Carl. She offered him £10K to get rid of Theo by getting him sent down. And he was very quick to agree. Carl tries to goad Theo into a fight (Credit: ITV) Theo and Carl go head-to-head next week in Coronation Street Well, in Coronation Street spoilers for next week, Carl takes his job very seriously, determined to get that £10K. He does his best to land Theo in serious trouble after seeing him clash with Gary. But because Gary refuses to take the bait, Theo has to go down another route. As Theo storms into the Rovers, Carl heads in right behind. He starts goading Theo, which continues onto the street. Things ramp up as the pair argue over everything that’s happened. And Carl does his best to get Theo to hit him. He knows Summer wants Theo locked up, and so, getting him to show his temper is the best way to get the police involved. But will Theo actually fall for Carl’s tricks? Elsewhere next week, Debbie gets a call to say that Carl has been taken to hospital. Meanwhile, Abi heads to the shop with some news about Carl that leaves Summer shaken. Is Theo the reason he’s there?
