After Betsy visited her in prison and wished she was dead, Becky was then seen rocking in her cell behind bars after receiving her sentence. Or rather, just ‘Becky’ now, as Betsy firmly ditched the maternal title. Ouch. After overhearing Lisa filling Carla in on Becky’s latest menacing mutterings, Betsy decided it was time for a prison confrontation. And she didn’t hold back. Awkward. A panicked Becky tried to plead her case, swearing she never meant for any of it to happen. Betsy wasn’t having it and cruelly wished Becky had stayed dead – just like Mason. Elsewhere, Lisa scrambled to protect Betsy as Becky’s threats landed her on suspended duties. Becky, meanwhile, was handed a chunky 12-year sentence and left rocking in her cell, haunted by her choices. Back home, Lisa and Betsy breathed a sigh of relief and vowed to move on – but in Corrie, is anyone ever really gone? Amy’s next project is a short film (Credit: ITV) Amy Cudden’s new role away from Coronation Street revealed With Becky now being sentenced to over a decade inside, actress Amy Cudden’s stint on the soap also looks like it has come to an end. However, she’s getting ready to celebrate the upcoming release of a short film titled Grilled Cheese. In the film, she plays the part of Audrey, with her role already having been filmed and completed. It appears as though Audrey is the main character of the short, with the description teasing that Audrey is set about rebuilding her life in a world that is hiding answers to the questions she seeks. The sci-fi short film will be 16 minutes long, with no release date as of yet. What else happened in Coronation Street tonight? Jodie came to stay at the Platts' Jodie visited Shona at the hospital again but Shona told her that now wasn't a good time to reconnect. But, she'd take her phone number for when it was. However, Shona was left to believe it was fate that she'd bumped into her half-sister Jodie again when she discovered that they were both in the same car crash. Outside of the hospital, David caught Jodie having a panic attack and, after finding out that she had nowhere to stay, he offered her a place to stay back at their house. Ryan's concerns were shut down Ryan filled Debbie in on his suspicions that Carl was taking money from the hotel accounts. When Debbie quizzed Carl on it though, she soon shut down Ryan's beliefs. When Kev continued to fight against Carl, Debbie told him not to make her choose between her two brothers as he wouldn't like which one she would pick if he did. Megan warned someone off After planning a cosy night with Daniel (and a bottle of white wine and nuggets), Megan picked up her phone and told someone to leave her alone... Nice.
