In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Friday, May 8), Danielle Silverton bonded with Todd Grimshaw in the wake of Theo’s death.

She sat down with him and switched things up from being the ‘bitter ex wife’ to the ‘understanding ally.’

But, fans reckon there’s more to Danielle’s nicey-nice act than she’s letting on.

Danielle and Todd bonded in Coronation Street

In Friday’s episode, Danielle eventually let her guard down in an emotional chat with Todd. She offered her most honest account yet of life with Theo. After meeting him in the Rovers, the pair later headed back to George’s house. Danielle then reflected on their complicated past.

She admitted that there had been genuinely happy times in the early days of their marriage, and described Theo as a devoted father when things first began. However, she also revealed that over time he became increasingly controlling, shaping much of their family life behind closed doors.

While Danielle did not accuse Theo of physical abuse, she made it clear she had lived with a quiet fear of him and often felt unable to speak up or challenge his behaviour.

She went on to apologise to Todd for everything Theo had put him through and promised she would be there for him if he ever needed support. Danielle suggested they were both dealing with different sides of the same man.

Still, her sudden change of heart raises questions, with viewers left wondering whether she is truly seeking understanding with Todd or has another reason for opening up now.

Fans predict Danielle played a part in Theo’s murder

Danielle might be wanting to get Todd on side for a reason, and Corrie fans are adamant it’s because she played a part in Theo’s murder.

Some fans think she was the one to bump her ex-husband off, taking to social media to share their theory.

One Coronation Street fan on X wondered: “Was it Danielle?,” while another commented: “I think Danielle killed Theo because she was abused, or it’s just a way for the writers to write her out for good.”

A third person predicted: “Worked out the killer. Just like when crime dramas cast a well-known actor, they either die or are the murderer. In this case, it’ll be Danielle who killed Theo.”

However, others think that Theo’s son Miles is the true killer and that Danielle then helped him cover-up his crime.

One fan wrote: “I was convinced it was Summer that pushed him at first but now I’m thinking Danielle or Miles did it & she’s covering for him. It’s way too suspicious that we haven’t seen them for ages and now Theo’s dead they’re suddenly back on screen. Something’s not adding up.”

Another agreed: “Danielle is covering for Miles, I’m calling it now no WAY Miles randomly made an appearance right before Theo was killed.”

A final person finished: “My thinking exactly, it’s no coincidence the show brought Miles back last week for no reason. Could Danielle be covering for him? She looked shifty at the end of tonight’s episode.”

Is John Bishop in Blue Lights?

While watching the brilliant police drama Blue Lights on BBC One, some viewers became convinced that John Bishop was in the cast.

Of course, the stand-up comedian HAS turned actor in the past few years. He's previously played Dan Lewis in Doctor Who, Steve Livesey in Fearless, and Peter Cartwright in the acclaimed Jimmy McGovern drama The Accused. Whereas Skins fans will know him as Rob Fitch.

Just this year, John played Rose Ayling-Ellis' dad in Code of Silence.

But is John Bishop in Blue Lights? Nope, despite lots of opinion to the contrary, he's NOT in the BBC One police drama. But we don't blame viewers for being confused. Actor Charlie Maher does look a lot like John Bishop.

Viewers convinced Charlie Maher is John Bishop - or related to him!

BBC One viewers jumped online to shared their thoughts on the lookalike in Blue Lights.

One wrote: "Bez meets John Bishop as the main villain #bluelights."

Another said: "John Bishop's son is in #BlueLights."

Is Charlie Maher actor, who plays Donal Fogerty in Blue Lights, related to John Bishop?

Actor Charlie Maher stars as Donal Fogerty in Blue Lights series 3. Fans of the police crime drama will know that Charlie first played the criminal in series 1, before returning in series 2. However, he takes a more central role in the latest episodes.

And don't be fooled by his uncanny resemblance to likeable comedian John Bishop… Fogerty is a nasty piece of work, who runs the murky criminal gang.

And, no, Charlie Maher is not related to John Bishop in any way. While John Bishop is from Liverpool, actor Charlie is Irish. And John Bishop does have three sons - Joe, Daniel, and Luke Bishop - but none of them are actors.

Meanwhile, Charlie was named one of 50 talent to watch in 2024 by The Irish Times. His role in Blue Lights is arguably his biggest role to date, and he'll soon appear in the crime drama Borderline.

Other notable roles include Dr O'Dowd in the BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney's Conversation with Friends, and William Garnet in Queens of Mystery. He also played Con in Black Narcissus, and Charles Lindbergh in The Titans That Built America. He's been in multiple films, too, including All You Need Is Death, Ten Dates, Who We Love, As Luck Would Have It, and Animals.
