Coronation Street spoilers confirm how Shona’s in grave danger from Olivia thugs as they search for Jodie’s hard drive
Jodie's past comes to harm Shona
In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Wednesday, April 22), Olivia was caught by Jodie trying to find a hard drive that belonged to her dad.
After staying at the Platts’ for the night, Olivia convinced Jodie to head to the shop so that she had time to snoop around the house alone.
However, her quest to find her dad’s stolen hard drive is about to throw an innocent Shona into huge danger.

Olivia searched for Jodie’s hard drive in Coronation Street
Today on the cobbles, Olivia made herself at home at the Platts’ as she tucked into some breakfast while telling Jodie that she wasn’t going to school as it was so far away that she’d be late.
Olivia then tried to butter Jodie up with memories of the past, asking her if she could make her their old favourite treat before she was sent back home.
Jodie agreed to head to the shop for the ingredients while Olivia stayed in the house alone, but she had her suspicions and quickly popped her head around the door to find Olivia snooping through her things.
The situation then got tense as Olivia explained she was looking for her dad’s hard drive. She knew that Jodie had taken it.
Jodie then sent Olivia packing, refusing to hand over the item. The schoolgirl then left the house, returning to a car with two men inside. When they asked her if she’d secured the goods, Olivia told them it just wasn’t possible. But, this wouldn’t be the last of it.

Coronation Street spoilers confirm Shona danger as she’s caught up in Jodie’s mess
Next week in Weatherfield, it seems that Jodie’s messy involvement with Olivia’s family comes at a cost for oblivious sister Shona.
Just as Jodie is all set to slip out of Weatherfield, things take a sudden and frightening turn. She hears Shona screaming and rushes outside. She then finds her being grabbed by two men. It doesn’t take long to realise Shona isn’t their real target. They’re after Jodie. With no time to think and the situation escalating fast, Jodie makes a snap decision. She must hand over the hard drive in order to save her sister.
Shaken by everything that’s just happened, Shona thanks Jodie and, seeing how upset she is, offers her a place to stay. For a brief moment, it looks like the sisters might finally be finding some common ground. But the fragile peace doesn’t last. When Jodie discovers that Shona lied about not receiving her letter, her emotions quickly shift from hurt to anger. Deciding she’s been wronged one too many times, Jodie sets her sights on revenge – and plans to drive a wedge between Shona and David by breaking up their marriage.
Before long, Jodie finds herself back out on the Street, alone and frustrated that everything has spiralled so badly. Heading to the swings, she’s left dwelling on her next move. But she’s not alone for long. When someone suddenly approaches her, Jodie is completely thrown. Whether it’s a face from her past or a new enemy she’s made, one thing’s clear – trouble isn’t done with her yet.
The Box: Celebrity line-up confirmed for football pundit Gary Lineker's new ITV game show
The former Match of the Day presenter will oversee the action as celebrities are plunged into mystery locations to figure out tasks with little instruction from the host.
The Box is coming to ITV in 2026, and show bosses have promised it will be full of "shocking reveals and twists".
Here is everything we know about The Box so far, including its contestants, the show format and start date.

What is The Box?
The Box is ITV's latest game show. In it, the production team will drop ten celebrities into bright yellow boxes and transport them to unknown locations around the UK.
Once they have arrived, the stars have to take on a series of challenges. These can be physical, logical, funny, or all of the above. The stars will need to figure out what is expected of them with little guidance to stay in the game.
Each episode ends with The Duel - a high-stakes showdown between two contestants. The loser leaves the competition, while the winner continues their journey and gets the chance to be crowned the ultimate champion.
The show has been adapted from an eponymous series that was created in Norway earlier this year. TV2 has already renewed the original Norweigen adventure series for a second season. The Box's creator, Aleksander Herresthal, has said: "Seeing The Box resonate with audiences and broadcasters around the world is incredibly rewarding. Securing six direct deals before the show even fully launched is a testament to its unique concept and universal appeal."
Who is hosting The Box?
Gary Lineker will be front and centre as the ITV gameshow's host. The ex-England and Barcelona striker is a veteran broadcaster. He fronted Match of the Day for 26 years before leaving the BBC in May 2025.
Lineker also previously fronted ITV's general knowledge quiz show Sitting on a Fortune between 2021 and 2023. On top of that, he is the co-founder of Goalhanger Podcasts, which is the UK's largest independent podcast company. The team at Goalhanger Podcasts are responsible for The Rest Is History and other popular shows.
On The Box, Lineker says he is excited to be on the sidelines as the action unfolds. He shared: "I've always felt right at home in the box on a football pitch, and whilst this is a different proposition, the fundamentals are similar. The contestants will have to quickly and masterfully work out how each game works, whilst also trying to get ahead of the competition to take control. It's going to be unpredictable and thrilling to watch, and I'm excited that I get to have a front row seat to all the action!"
ITV's Katie Rawcliffe called Lineker the "perfect fit" for the show. She described The Box as an "entertaining, exhilarating and immersive new format".

Who is taking part in The Box?
ITV has assembled an eclectic line-up of ten celebrity figures for The Box from the worlds of entertainment, sport, music, and politics. The contestants include Dragon's Den star Sara Davies, football legend Graeme Souness and comedian Ellie Taylor.

Graeme Souness is a former football player turned manager and pundit. He played for clubs like Liverpool, Rangers, and Middlesbrough during his trophy-filled career. Ellie Taylor has appeared on panel shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats and Mock the Week, acted in Ted Lasso, and written a book about parenting called My Child and Other Mistakes.
Former Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow will also be stepping into a yellow box. Love Island star Shakira Khan and JLS singer JB Gill will join him. Broadcaster Ranvir Singh and The Chase favourite Jenny Ryan are also part of the mix, alongside YouTuber and gamer Danny Aarons. Reality TV favourite Joey Essex is rounding out the cast.
John Bercow was the Speaker at the House of Commons from 2009 to 2019, while also representing Buckingham as an MP. He left Parliament during the 2019 general election. Shakira appeared on Love Island in 2025 as one of the original cast members, and made it to the series final with Harry Cooksley.
Since his boy band days, JB Gill has gone on to build a career as a turkey farmer. He has also been featured in various TV shows including Strictly Come Dancing and Countryfile. Ranvir is known for presenting Good Morning Britain and Lorraine. On top of that, she fronts the ITV game show Riddiculous.

Finally, Danny Aarons is one of the world's leading EA FC content creators, and often partners with his favourite football team, Tottenham Hotspur.
Gary Lineker has spoken highly of the cast, saying: "From my experience, the most successful teams are built on a mix of strengths and abilities, and that's exactly what we've got with this lineup."

ITV bosses will film The Box in the UK later in 2025. It is set to be aired in 2026. The broadcaster have yet to confirm the exact launch date.
