Did Gary do it? Or is the soap throwing us a red herring? Gary knew what Theo was (Credit: ITV) Gary and Theo in Coronation Street Former co-workers Gary and Theo definitely had beef before Theo was pushed to his death last week. Back in March, George had spoken to Gary about his concerns that Theo had been abusing Todd. Gary then promised to do something about it before sending Theo packing from his job and chucking both him and his tools out. Theo begged Gary not to listen to Todd’s overprotective friends who had ‘the wrong idea’ about him. But, Gary wasn’t convinced and made it clear that he was no longer Theo’s mate. Sure the blood on his shirt and his period of time alone meant he had killed Theo, Swain and Green gave him a grilling in the interview room. Solicitor Adam fought George’s case and he was eventually released pending further investigation. And then Christina was called to the station to “help” with the enquiries.Don't miss a single story! Back on the Street, Todd was adamant George was innocent and Summer was devastated he had been arrested and spent the night in the cells. The CCTV footage has been deleted (Credit: ITV) Gary’s behaviour becomes increasingly suspicious in Coronation Street Summer was crying in Victoria Garden when Maria and Gary found her. Maria instantly offered comfort while Gary also gave words of encouragement, but held back somewhat. Maria then asked her husband: “Who do you think killed him?” Gary was saved by his phone ringing as he hestitated before shrugging it off that he had no idea, but would buy them a pint if he did find out. Summer went to visit Gary at work later on and thanked him for being so kind. She then asked him to keep it quiet that she’d been upset, claiming she didn’t want anyone to worry. He promised not to say anything. After she left Gary was seen on his laptop deleting CCTV footage. It was grainy, but you could just make out it was him smashing up Theo’s van the previous week. Kit very much believes Gary did it (Credit: ITV) Who’s in the frame next week? It’s not long before Gary’s mistake comes back to haunt him. The police are soon on the case with retrieving the deleted evidence and Gary is prime suspect. A tech expert is charged with getting the footage back and Lisa and Kit agree Gary’s alibi doesn’t stack up. The cops then head to the builder’s yard to gather more evidence. They take various things, including some scaffolding poles. However things seem to go Gary’s way when Lisa reveals to Kit the tech department could not retrieve the CCTV. Kit is still sure Gary is their man and makes it very clear he is coming for him. But did Gary really do it? Which one killed Theo? (Credit: ITV) So did Gary kill Theo in Coronation Street? Fans are divided over whether they believe Gary is the killer or not. “Starting to think it was a chain of events,” mused one. “Summer pushed Theo on to scaffolding and ran, Gary found him and delivered the blow, but before he could hide the body, he was disturbed by George who just let Theo die.” Another said: “I still think Gary or Summer killed Theo.” A third added: “Gary will be arrested at some point.” Referencing his murderous past, a fourth wrote: “I just gotta feeling it’s gonna be another big build up just for Gary to be the one who did it AND get away with it again.” However others disagreed: “It’s not Gary it’s too predictable – it could be George as he changed his jumper halfway through the episode.” “My theory: Gary was headed to the wedding to meet Maria, heard Summer scream, and jumped in to rescue her. She bolted while Gary ‘dealt’ with Theo leaving him alive. Someone else finished him off,” commented someone else. “I don’t think it was Gary who killed him,” stated another.
