At the moment, the only person who knows about Kit being the true culprit is his partner Sarah Platt. But, could this all change? Could Kit go to prison and leave the soap? Kit told Sarah the truth (Credit: ITV) Kit confessed the truth to Sarah in Coronation Street Kit Green’s guilty conscience finally boiled over tonight, and Sarah ended up getting the full, unfiltered truth. Bernie Winter may have spent the night in a police cell after being arrested at Roy’s Rolls on suspicion of attacking Mal Roper, but all the while, the real culprit was walking free and wearing a badge. CCTV quickly proved Bernie had been drinking at the shop, earning her release, but that only cranked up the pressure on Kit. By the time he got home, it didn’t take much to push him over the edge. When Sarah dared to suggest Bernie might have been responsible for Mal’s hospital stay, Kit snapped – and then spilled everything. No more dancing around it. Bernie didn’t touch Mal. Kit did. He admitted to Sarah that he’d confronted Mal, grabbed him, shoved him and warned him to stay away from Bernie. A protective son moment, sure – but one with serious consequences he never saw coming, including Mal’s heart attack. Sarah quickly pointed out that Kit may have made things far worse for Bernie, prompting him to head for the police station, ready to confess. What else happened in Coronation Street tonight? George lost another client Mrs Ripley's son turned up to speak to George about arranging his mum's funeral. However, angry Annie turned up and started accusing George of ripping off the vulnerable, causing Mr Ripley to look elsewhere instead. Annie was so upset that she even headed to the police station with Adam to report George officially. Jodie meddled again Jodie drained the milk and took some of the dirty dishes out of the dishwasher so that David was in Shona's bad books. Trying to play the hero, she then offered to take Lily to the cinema so that Shona and David could have some alone time. But, just as they were getting into the mood, back came Jodie and Lily after an issue with the tickets... Yeah, right.
