Since her entrance onto the soap earlier this week, Jodie’s taken a real interest in Shona. And, now it finally makes sense. With Jodie revealing her secret sibling link, spoilers have now teased what’s to come for the character. Jodie’s a ‘proud auntie’ (Credit: ITV) Jodie is Shona’s sister in Coronation Street Jodie was first seen during Monday night’s episode of Corriedale (January 5), and what an episode to arrive in! A first glimpse of her was seen in the back of Graham Foster’s van, tied up and in a state of distress. However, she managed to escape and eventually got herself to the safety of a hospital. Having the exact same tree tattoo as Shona, Jodie continued to watch Shona tonight from a distance before staring through a window at her little baby Harper. When a member of staff asked if she was a ‘proud mum,’ she responded that she was in fact a ‘proud auntie.’ Yes, she’s Shona’s sister. Jodie and Shona bond (Credit: ITV) Coronation Street spoilers tease Jodie trouble for the Platts In Coronation Street spoilers for next week, Jodie causes huge trouble for that Platts as she comes to stay with them at No.8. She tells Shona that she was involved in the same car crash as she was, also telling her that she’s got nowhere to stay. Shona takes pity on her and allows her to stay at No.8, where Lily and Bethany immediately take a shining to her. However, it soon becomes clear that Nick Tilsley isn’t a fan of the mysterious woman… Later on, Shona quizzes Jodie over the bruises spotted on her wrists. Jodie then provides her with a story that she was in an abusive relationship. But, is Jodie telling Shona the truth? And, just how long is she planning on sticking around for? What else happened in Coronation Street tonight? Shona gave birth to Harper Shona went down for surgery tonight, with Dr Harper delivery Shona's baby in the place of Dr Li. Unable to fit a tube in, a tracheotomy was performer so that the baby could breathe while it developed to be stronger. Once the baby had strengthed, the surgeons would then do another surgery to attempt to remove the mass on its neck. Realising that Dr Harper has the same birthday as their baby, Shona and David then named their daughter Harper as tribute. Awwww. The Street mourned Billy Residents of the Street gathered to mourn Billy, with Sarah praying that no further losses would hit the community. Fingers crossed.
