Tonight in Coronation Street (Wednesday, January 28), Carl Webster and Theo Silverton dished out some big threats to each other amid Billy’s funeral.

Carl Webster threatened to spill the beans that Theo had left Billy to die, but Theo fought back.

He then warned Carl that he had photos of him paying off the hotel robbers and could get him into huge trouble with Debbie and Ryan. And, he could also do much worse.

Carl and Theo at war in Coronation Street

Just before Billy’s funeral, a devastating truth was revealed to Theo. It was confirmed by Carl that the confession whispered in the undertakers had been overheard. Forgiveness from the dead was suggested, but mercy from Todd was firmly ruled out. With his secret no longer safely buried, Theo’s guilt was intensified.

At the service, Todd was asked to deliver the eulogy but was overcome with emotion. The moment was taken by Theo, and the narrative was quietly redirected. Responsibility was subtly shifted onto Todd, with it being implied that Billy’s fate might have been avoided. A vague admission of regret was then offered by Theo, and, unaware of the full truth, Todd’s forgiveness was freely given.

Elsewhere, Ryan was attacked during a hotel robbery and left injured as the thieves escaped. Carl was seen stepping in as a rescuer, though it was later revealed the crime had been orchestrated by him. Photographic evidence was secretly obtained by Theo.

A bargain was struck. Silence was demanded. And a dangerous warning was delivered. Theo would ensure Carl’s funeral was next if his secret got out.

Huge ‘hint’ Carl Webster could be at risk of Coronation Street flashforward death

Coronation Street fans know that the soap is soon set to air a deadly flashforward with five possible victims in the running to die.

Now that Theo’s alluded to Carl’s potential death, he’s definitely in danger. While there’s no confirmation that he’ll be in the ‘Five,’ he deserves his comeuppance soon.

But, could Carl die in the flashfoward scenes to come?

Teasing the big scenes, Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks said: “One of our characters has found a dead body on the street, and we don’t know who it is.

She then added: “So, there are five potential victims and we will take the audience on a journey for them to try and figure out who that body is and what happened.”
