DS Lisa Swain soon quizzed the undertaker over his bloody sweater and arrested him. George then tried to remain composed as he shared his weak alibi with the police detectives down at the station. George was arrested (Credit: ITV) George Shuttleworth arrested for Theo murder in Coronation Street The episode kicked off with the police quizzing Todd Grimshaw on his whereabouts on the night of Theo Silverton’s death. Christina made an excuse to do some dry cleaning and quickly headed off out at the first sight of the police sniffing around. Article Continues Below Read all the latest Spoilers With Todd being questioned over his actions that night, he explained that he’d bumped into Theo holding his phone before his trip to Thailand. He then scarpered to the nearest phonebox and called Todd for help. As George had had some drinks, Christina was the one to pick him up instead. At the undertaker’s, George then found Christina with his bloody sweater from the night of Theo’s death. She explained that it didn’t look good for him as there was now a murder investigation. And, as George had gone out for a walk and not stayed in the house when she’d gone to fetch Todd, he could’ve found time to bump him off. George explained that the blood on his sweater was from his little scuffle with Theo in the flat. He and Todd had reported it to Kit before Theo went on the run. Also that night, George had been to the Rovers with Christina and Summer and had also waved Todd goodbye outside the taxi. When Todd phoned to say he needed picking up, he then stayed at home while Christina went to fetch him. However, he then admitted that he’d been on a walk to calm himself down after the eventful day. With a weak alibi and a bloody sweater, things didn’t look too good for George as he was made the police’s current top suspect. But, did he kill Theo?
