This evening on the cobbles (Thursday, May 28), Sarah made a phone call to ex Gary and told him that she was ‘always there for him.’ But, Jodie then voiced her suspicions. So, what exactly are the pair hiding? Here are our five top theories. Gary is a prime suspect (Credit: ITV) 1. Gary murdered Theo Gary Windass has killed before and he’s also in the list of police suspects for Theo’s murder. He was seen smashing up Theo’s van on the night of his death, also erasing CCTV footage at the builder’s yard and lying about his whereabouts. On X, one fan wrote: “Wow, does that photo of Sally & Tim with Gary in the background prove that Gary killed Theo?” Gary’s definitely hiding something and feels the need to lie about where he was. Sarah murdered Theo While Sarah acting very differently since the murder night, something’s definitely changed for her. In her defence, she spent most of the night woozy after being knocked unconscious by Jodie. The attack could’ve made her paranoid, especially with Kit now not around to make her feel a bit more safe (perks of dating a detective). But, it’s also been picked up on that Sarah’s been constantly on edge every time a new suspect is mentioned. Could that be guilt? Did she actually kill Theo before being knocked out? And, does Gary know? One fan wondered: “Could it be Sarah who killed Theo? She’s been acting very odd mainly since Theo died..” Did Sarah cheat on Kit? (Credit: ITV) 3. Gary’s affair with Sarah There could be another reason as to why Gary would lie to the police about where he was. He might’ve need to delete the CCTV because it captured him cheating on Maria with Sarah. Of course, Gary wouldn’t want to tell the police this considering that Sarah’s partner Kit works in the force. Not wanting to destroy their relationships, the pair could be acting slightly shifty to ensure that their secret stays safe. Some adamant fans were certain of it, with one stating: “Defo the affair reveal between Gary and Sarah.” Another contributed: “Sarah’s slept with Gary, hasn’t she? That’s why she’s being all needy over the phone to Kit.” Did Gary cheat with Danielle instead? (Credit: ITV) 4. Gary slept with Danielle On the topic of Gary cheating again, instead of Sarah, another possibility is that he slept with Danielle. Considering Gary hated everything to do with Theo‘s family, it’s an unlikely one, but not one that fans have completely ruled out. A theory suggested: ‘Today’s guess of ‘what did Gary do?’ is that he slept with Danielle. She has form with Jason. He is unpredictable and this would be way more interesting as a reveal…” 5. Gary’s PTSD Thinking back to Gary’s past history in the army, one fan thinks that this storyline is about to resurface. Sarah might be supporting Gary with his PTSD, with Gary feeling uncomfortable to tell Maria about his new episode. Taking to X, a passionate Corrie viewer wondered: “There are so many things that Gary could have been up to, but what if he went to kill Theo and couldn’t? He’s had PTSD, he could have had an attack. Sarah found him and is now freaking out that her own past problems might resurface.” But, what are Sarah and Gary hiding?
