ITV Share By Tamzin Meyer Jan 5 2026 By Tamzin Meyer Jan 5 2026 9 things that made zero sense in tonight's Corriedale crossover We're super confused Corriedale Features Share By Tamzin Meyer Jan 5 2026 By Tamzin Meyer Jan 5 2026 Corriedale aired tonight (Monday, January 5) and we were well and truly treated to some dramatic scenes, but the crossover did leave us scratching our heads. By the time the one hour episode ended, were left staring at our screens and wondering just what had happened. Nothing goes amiss with us, so here are 9 things we spotted that we’re begging for answers on. Carla was rather well for someone who had been tied up for a week (Credit: ITV) 1. Carla’s condition For someone who has spent a whole week tied up and unable to move, then bundled up into a shipping container with little food or water, Carla Connor didn’t appear to be too weak. She could string many sentences together and was up on her feet, pulling people out of cars. They say people do anything for love, but the whole things was a tad bit unbelievable if we’re honest. Lisa was unconscious in her seat for most of the episode, with the rest of the injured parties having to rally around to move her car away from an emerging fire with all of their strength. Lisa eventually was pulled out of the vehicle and carried off into an ambulance. In there, she suddenly awoke, grabbed a pair of handcuffs and arrested Becky. She remembered her whole arrest script and everything. Just how did she even keep hold of those cuffs throughout the whole crash though? Bizarre. 3. Steve just ignoring Tracy For about half of the episode, we were left worrying about Tracy Barlow’s fate. It turned out she was alright, but her ex-husband didn’t even care to check on her or help her out of the minibus. He just went straight for Cassie and left the mother of his daughter to fend for herself. Really? RIP Billy (Credit: ITV) 4. Only two people dying With such a huge car pile-up, you’d expect a few people to lose their lives. But, only one actually died as a result of the accident – poor Billy Mayhew. John Sugden also died but his death was out in the woods and all thanks to Victoria. Brutal but iconic. Considering three people died in Emmerdale’s limo crash at the start of last year (which only involved two limos), we expected there to be a mass of fatalities. The residents of Weatherfield and Emmerdale village got lucky this time. 5. Where were the other cars? All of the cars on the road and at the scene just so happened to have characters we were familiar with driving them. Yes, somehow there were no other cars on the road. Even the characters who arrived at the scene later on such as Liam and Chas were able to get really close to the action without a huge backlog of cars holding them back. Make it make sense. Rookie error (Credit: ITV) 6. Aaron being in the car with John Okay, Aaron might’ve made the biggest mistake of his life tonight (other than marrying John Sugden in the first place). Jumping into a car with a known killer was never going to end well. Especially when John’s proved already that he’s willing to die next to Aaron if it means that they could be together forever. What did Aaron expect when he pointed that gun towards John for the entire journey? That he’d have a change of heart? This is John Sugden we’re talking about! 7. Graham being alive A huge shock of the night was that Graham Foster was very much alive and had been driving a van with a woman tied up on the inside. He then visited Joe in the hospital without him knowing. Huh? Come again… Graham’s alive? The most grisly and ‘definitely dead’ character in soap land has been revived with no explanation. Erm, okay. We’ll take it. We loved Graham but he should not be alive right now. It just doesn’t seem possible. 8. Who was that woman? Who was that woman Graham had tied up? We’ve never met her before, that’s for sure. But, she was running away from him in huge panic. There’s got to be more to be uncovered there. We need more (Credit: ITV) 9. One hour was not enough Right, hear us out. A one hour Corriedale crossover was not enough. We loved it and need more. We don’t understand how these characters can simply never interact again. There are too many interactions still to be tied up. We need to know what Kit did when he found John dead. And, then there’s David and Shona still at Hotten General, surely they’d see more Emmerdale characters there. Give us more please, we beg.
