It’s been clear for some time that Maggie Driscoll has been keeping a huge secret in Coronation Street, and now, viewers have finally discovered the shocking truth. A bombshell twist was revealed in the last few minutes of Thursday’s episode (March 12). And it seems to confirm a long-running fan theory. But everything came to a head today, when Jim’s funeral day arrived. Ben was determined to be there for Steve, but Maggie kept trying to talk him out of it. And while Maggie seemed interested to know how the ceremony went, she quickly made a run for it when Jim’s old friends arrived. As the day went on, Maggie remained as out of sights as possible, really trying to avoid Jim’s army friends, Declan and Davey. You were awful lucky that nobody caught on.” While Maggie tried to bluff, it was clear her game was up and she had been caught. But luckily for her, Declan said he wouldn’t reveal her secret. Fans have suspected Ben and Steve were related for a while (Credit: ITV) Ben and Steve set for a huge discovery One main reason Maggie could want to keep the whole thing under wraps is because this bombshell means that Steve and Ben could actually be half-brothers. This has been a fan theory for quite some time, after fans noticed how quickly a friendship blossomed between the pair. Once the theory was predicted on Reddit, many fans began remembering scenes that did make Maggie look quite guilty. Last year, Maggie spotted something in the Barlow’s cupboard and got freaked out, so it all is starting to make complete sense. Following the fan theory, reports leaked that the theory was in fact true. The Sun reported: “It’s going to be a huge shock for Steve when he finds out his dad’s dead. But that’s not the biggest shock to come. “It’s no surprise that Jim had an affair, but for Steve to discover he’s got another brother out there is a huge shock.
