With the character’s final storyline set to play out in the coming weeks, his exit will air this festive season. The star is now moving straight into another project, starring in Young Frankenstein the Musical on stage. Daniel has wrapped up filming (Credit: ITV) Daniel Brocklebank films last scenes as Billy Mayhew in Coronation Street Earlier this year, it was reported that Billy Mayhew would be ‘killed off’ after 11 years on our screens. While the soap hasn’t confirmed if Billy will actually die, he will be leaving as Daniel Brocklebank confirmed that he’s filmed his final scenes on the soap in an Instagram yesterday (Tuesday, November 18). Bye bye Billy. The last 11 years have gone by in a blink. I’ve adored every moment of being part of this special family. I can’t thank ITV and all at Corrie enough. It’s been a ride. I adore you all.” The post came just hours after he posted a photo with Summer Spellman star Harriet Bibby, captioning the snap: “My final day today working with this beautiful human. I’ve loved playing her tv dad. What an honour it has been. An incredible woman. I shall miss her terribly.
