In today’s early ITVX release of Coronation Street (Friday, May 29), a flashback scene aired which revealed Tyrone as the true Carl crush culprit.

With Tyrone feeling guilty over lying about not seeing Summer on the night of Theo’s death, the flashback revealed his reason for not backing her story up.

Tyrone had actually been at the garage and was responsible for the crush that almost killed Carl Webster – and Ronnie Bailey had helped him cover it up.

Todd visited Summer Spellman at the prison today and told her that he wished he could trade places with her.

Summer was considering saying she killed Theo so she’d get less time for manslaughter. Things weren’t looking good for her.

She then told Todd that she just didn’t understand why Tyrone would lie about not seeing her that night when she was 100% sure he had.

Back in the Rovers, with Todd telling everyone how bad Summer was finding it in prison. Carl then reckoned that Tyrone had something to hide. And, he was right.

A flashback to the murder night then revealed that Tyrone had been at the garage and was trying to film Carl tampering with Kevin’s car brakes on his phone. He then knocked something and the car crushed Carl.

In the present day, Tyrone met up with Ronnie and admitted to feeling really guilty about lying and getting Summer in trouble.

Ronnie told him to wait it out. Everyone’s emotions were high right now, but it would all turn out in the end and get easier.

Tyrone then went home to Fiz, but she could tell something was bothering him and noted that he’d been restless all night.

Tyrone then admitted to wishing he could’ve helped Summer, but Fiz tried to reassure him. However, she had no idea that Tyrone had seen her and was responsible for the crush that almost killed Carl. Is it only a matter of time before the truth comes out?
