In 2000, Helen Flanagan made her debut on the cobbles, staying permanently until 2012. After that, she returned for a brief stint in 2017, leaving once again in 2018. Now, eight years later, Helen has reflected on her time as Rosie Webster, and it seems there is just one main reason she hasn’t returned to Coronation Street. Ever since appearing on Coronation Street, Helen has impressed fans on numerous other shows, and has been keeping fans up-to-date about her life off-screen on social media. Now, it appears she isn’t the reason that a Coronation Street return hasn’t happened. And if it was actually up to her, she would be back on the cobbles already. She explained: “I really want to go back, but they just have not asked me! If the cobbles came calling, I would love to. I am literally just down the road. But sadly, they have not yet.” As for what she would like to see from Rosie Webster in the future, Helen hopes her character’s love life would be much less chaotic than her own – after her split from her ex-husband and father of her children.Don't miss a single story! But when she left in 2018, many thought her exit would just be temporary, as Helen was expecting her second child at the time. However, she has not returned since. Seven years ago, Rosie left the street after a successful return. She was heading off for a better life that suited her more than Coronation Street. She got a new job and headed off, with everyone waving her away. And that was the last she was seen on the show. Her family, particularly Sally and Kevin, promised to visit her more often. Over the years since her departure, the pair have headed off to see her, and Rosie has been mentioned on numerous occasions, but never with a hint of a return.
