Not feeling safe despite police telling Theo to stay away from Todd, Todd’s looking to escape his abusive husband. But, will this trip spell a permanent departure from Weatherfield for the character? Here’s everything we know. Todd’s planning on jetting off (Credit: ITV) Todd’s Thailand trip in Coronation Street Viewers will know that Todd Grimshaw recently spent a few days away in the countryside with Sarah in a bid to take a break from being around Theo. While Todd was away, Theo decided to target Summer Spellman instead and cornered her in the shop. By locking her in, Summer had nowhere to escape to and was forced to hear all about Billy’s last moments. Theo then warned Summer that Todd was ‘his’ and if she intervened, well, she’d be ‘buried’ just like Billy. Now that Todd’s back on the cobbles once more, he’s desperate to get away again. And, this time he’s looking to go further afield and has arranged a trip to Thailand to visit Eileen and Jason. With Kit assuring Todd that he’ll do his best to keep Theo away from him, Todd went to bed tonight (Wednesday, April 22) with hopes of an actual escape. As Todd then realises that he’s forgotten his phone for the trip, he heads back to the flat once more. But, will Theo catch him alone? Will Todd manage to leave for Thailand? (Credit: ITV) Here’s all we know about Todd’s Thailand plans It’s unclear at the moment whether Todd manages to go to Thailand or not. This is due to ‘murder week’ details being kept under wraps. Todd and Theo’s storyline is one of the main focuses of next week, alongside Carl, Megan, Maggie, and Jodie’s. However, there has been no official announcement to suggest that Gareth Pierce could be leaving the soap permanently. And, the star is yet to have any other known projects in the works besides his role on the soap. This means that it’s more than likely that if Todd does end up heading off to Thailand, then he shall return. But, in soapland, of course, there are always some surprises and shocks in store that could see anybody head off at any point. Here’s hoping it isn’t Todd.
