Becky isn't messing about

Becky Swain was ready to stir the pot in today’s ITVX Coronation Street early release (Friday, October 17) as she became the newest soap villain.

Meeting up with Costello, Becky Swain made a rather dodgy deal with him. She asked for his help in winning her family back.

She then headed home and told Lisa that ‘they would be happy’ before Carla came back home. Right…

Becky and Costello held a secret meeting

Lisa was full of panic today as she found out that Betsy had been arrested. DI Costello had reported that she’d damaged a police car. She’d also resisted arrest, and had also tried to attack him. Wow, we didn’t know Betsy had it in her.

Kit Green (now best buddies with former rival Lisa) tried to find out what was going on but admitted that Betsy would be kept at the station until the CCTV was checked. Lisa was allowed a few minutes with Betsy as her daughter assured her that she hadn’t laid a finger on Costello.

Meeting up with Becky, Costello then told her that she needed to go back to ‘being dead’ in Alicante. Things would get a lot worse for Betsy if she didn’t. If anyone found out that they’d both faked Becky’s death, it would be over for them as ‘corrupt cops don’t do well behind bars.’

With Becky realising that Costello set up Betsy’s arrest after seeing the social media video she’d posted, Costello then turned even more sinister and told Becky that Lisa would have a lot more to worry about than Betsy being arrested if she continued to live on the Street.

Becky then agreed to leave Weatherfield on the condition that Lisa and Betsy could go with her…

Becky sets out to split Carla and Lisa up in Coronation Street

But, how will Becky manage to get Lisa and Betsy to jet off to Alicante, you may ask? Well, it will be a difficult task. But, one that Becky’s determined to succeed in.

If Costello is to get his wish of Becky leaving the country and saving his bacon, he’s to help her win back her family.

Returning to No.6 (the home owned by Lisa and Carla, may we add), Becky told Lisa that Betsy would be fine. And, before Carla returns home from Ireland, everything would be ‘sorted’ and both she and Lisa would ‘be happy.’

While Lisa might’ve thought that Becky was just talking about Betsy Swain’s arrest, Becky had completely other ideas… She wanted to take Lisa away from Carla. But, will she succeed?
