The Driscolls received some unfortunate news about Megan Walsh during today’s early ITVX release of Coronation Street (Tuesday, May 19).

Tensions were already high within the family, but a police update about Megan soon soured things even more.

It turned out that Megan wasn’t going to be locked away so easily.

Megan released on bail in Coronation Street

Viewers will know that Will Driscoll made the very brave step of reporting his groomer Megan Walsh last week.

Planning on starting a new life with her in Paris, Will had second thoughts after speaking to Tim Metcalfe. Tim opened up to Will all about his past relationship with older woman Tricia, giving Will food for thought.

Tim then drove Will to the police station to make a statement, where he finally told the truth about his relationship with his gym coach.

After being questioned by the police, Megan was then charged and sent to her cell. She would be pleading not guilty though which meant that her case would go to trial.

Tonight though, Ben received a call to tell him that Megan had been released on bail.

Will Driscoll fears Megan’s release in Coronation Street

At the dinner table at the back of the pub, Eva tried to bring the family together in light of Maggie’s recent murder secret.

Ollie took to the kitchen to rustle up a feast for everyone, while Ben struggled to keep a calm composure.

Thanks to a comment from Maggie though, Will soon found out that Megan had been released on bail and immediately feared that she’d come near him again.

Eva promised him that there were rules in place so that she couldn’t get to him anymore, but this didn’t stop Will from worrying about her contacting him.

Just to add to the already upsetting situation, Ben then let out that Maggie had killed the boys’ grandad Alan. He wanted them to know exactly the sort of woman their grandmother was. A murderer.

This was definitely enough to ruin the family dinner plans. But, what’s next for Megan? Will she go to prison? How will the trial go?
