Summer feared that the police were coming after her and was ready to head off to the USA before they had the chance. But, the DS Connor-Swain was one step ahead and stopped fleeing Summer right in her tracks. Summer blamed everything on Todd (Credit: ITV) Summer blames Todd in Coronation Street Tonight in Weatherfield, Summer entered Roy’s Rolls just in time to overhear a conversation between George and Christina. The couple were discussing Summer, admitting that it didn’t look good for her. But, in their heart, they believed that she was innocent of killing Theo. This realisation scared Summer, making her run off and plan her escape to America for later that day. Todd tried to talk some sense into her but the situation blew out of proportion. Summer told him that she had seen Theo on the night of his death and, other than for the killer, she was probably the last person to see the abuser alive.Don't miss a single story! She then blamed Todd for the whole situation and for letting abusive Theo into their lives. Todd then told her that she wasn’t wrong – it was all down to him that Billy died. The whole situation just made her lash out. Todd accepted the apology and rushed to pack Summer’s things into the car and take her to the airport for her flight to the USA. However, just as they were leaving the Street, they were stopped by a police car. Out came DS Connor-Swain who told Summer to step away from the vehicle. She then proceeded to arrest Summer on suspicion of killing Theo. With all of this drama, Todd was fuming that the police could do this without any evidence.
