1. Bernie left shaken as Mal shows a darker side

With Dev and Asha heading off for some quality father-daughter time, Bernie finds herself home alone – and it quickly proves to be a huge mistake. When Roy pops out to the bank, Mal wastes no time in making his move, locking the café door and pouring his heart out.

Bernie firmly shuts him down, but rejection doesn’t sit well. In a chilling shift, Mal’s behaviour turns unsettling, leaving Bernie visibly rattled. And just when she thinks things can’t get worse, she stumbles across her wedding photo – vandalised, with her face crudely cut out.

The message couldn’t be clearer. Spooked and fearing what Mal might do next, Bernie packs up and bolts. Has Mal crossed a line from awkward admirer to genuine threat?

2. Steve faces a grim truth about his dad in Coronation Street spoilers

Cassie can’t help teasing Steve about his growing bromance with Ben, joking that Tim won’t be thrilled to lose his best-mate status. But the lighthearted mood vanishes when Steve takes a worrying phone call.

His dad’s landlord is demanding £1,800 in unpaid rent – and shockingly, Steve has been named as guarantor. As if that wasn’t enough, Steve later reveals he’s spoken to one of Jim McDonald’s former army mates, who claims Jim is in hospital and not expected to survive.

The news leaves Steve reeling. With unfinished business and years of emotional baggage hanging over him, will Steve face the past head-on – or avoid opening old wounds?

3. Debbie hands over the cash as Carl tightens his grip

Despite Ronnie’s desperate warnings, Debbie caves and transfers £2,000 to Carl. She’s convinced she’s helping her son when he needs her most. Ronnie is furious and vents to Ed, convinced Carl is deliberately bleeding Debbie dry.

Meanwhile, Jodie finally takes Shona’s advice and shuts Carl down, firing back a blunt message telling him exactly where to go. When Carl later approaches her in person, she gives him the coldest shoulder imaginable.

But as Jodie walks away, she’s unaware she’s being followed. With Carl growing more desperate and dangerous by the minute, it looks like cutting him off may have put Jodie firmly in his sights.
